DiamondJam 8.5 International Balloon Arts & Fashion workshop and competition held in Las Vegas, NV August 15, 2008 produced by Ed Chee of Phoenix, AZ.
Contestants and students from all over the world united for a few days to learn, share, jam, party and compete in the art of Balloon twisting entertainment. Several of these contestants are located in Southern California Brian Potvin (Pasadena), Jack Matson (Santa Ana), Brian Asman (San Fransisco), & Steve Yarosko (Fullerton). Other members include Eddie Medrano (Hollywood) & Ramon Medellin (Santa Monica). They decided to add a little dance and poise to their routine.
Their long hours of practice, twisting, directing and perfection of an funny & talented stage show routine paid off so well that they are now in demand to duplicate their efforts at various venues since winning FIRST place in Phoenix, AZ. This is not their first win. They also made top of 3 at Twist n Shout in Boston, Ma 2008 and top of 3 in Phoenix, AZ 2008.
They are an international favorite amongst
Balloon Artists and Balloon Art Entertainment appreciators.
I'd like to provide you with some behind the scenes information.
This group has studied with Master Balloon Show Magician
Jeff McBride. You probably recognize that name from MTV's
Celebrakidabra that filmed at the famous Hollywood Magic Castle
and aired on TV a few months ago.
This group is also made up of individual award winners in
balloon art, magic and stand up comedy.
This particular bit was a prep time of over 4 hours each.
The group included 4 entertainer artists and one MC who
handled the music, stage coach and direction for a total of 5.
