Please contact us about booking The Cornbred Blues Band there...it would just be us.  Contact for booking is Mary Martinez 865-406-2477.  Is the fee $30 or $60???  We have 4 tracks available on our link, also a link to rocksites and sonicbids.  We usually promote via MySpace, local press and posters at the venue.  Call soon so I can schedule other shows in nearby towns, since we are in Knoxville....Thanks a bunch!

Hudson K

Dear JJ,
I am the booking agent and promoter for hudson K. they are an indie/rock/folk act from Knoxville-originally from Chattanooga. The band is fronted by a female singer/keyboard player, and accompanied by another female on electric guitar and a cellist. Of course, they also have full drum and percussion as well.

Hudson K is touring to promote a CD release. Hudson K will promote the show through articles in the local Pulse and radio and via a streat team. They are also capable of bringing an opener, unless you have a local act in mind. Christina, the leader of the group, is a native Chattanoogian and has a lot of family and connections in town to help with promotion.

Please call
865-719-0651 or just reply to this email. We have 4 tracks on myspace and a few others on sonicbids.com. we can also mail a press kit and CD directly to you.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Several of hudson k's musical peers have played at your establishment and your reputation is grand.

Chris Horn

Corinne

Hi!
My name is Corinne Gooden, and I am interested in playing at JJ's. I am a solo performer (could possibly be bringing some supporting musicians as well), in the vein of Joni Mitchell, David Wilcox, Patty Griffin, etc. I have two hours of original music, and can play an additional two of covers mixed in. I am based out of Nashville, but I am expanding my tour base. I promote myself, and I have some contacts down in Chattanooga. My friend Angel Snow plays there sometimes, so we could possibly do a double booking. I could open up for a band as well, if you think that would be better. I will contact the press and send flyers prior to the show, when booked. Please check out my myspace, as well as my sonicbids press kit at:
http:///www.sonicbids.com/corinnegooden

If you think I would be a good fit, please contact me at your earliest convenience. My number is (718)813-2280.
The first time would be a free show.

Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

Mr. Quik and the Gunslinger

Hey guys,
We still haven't heard back from you. Want a show. We usually bring an ass-ton of people to every show no matter where it is. (We have played a few shifty places). We have a small following and want to bring those people to JJ's because it is one of the most fun and awesomely laid back venues around. PLEASE get back to us. I will try to come by tonight (Thursday and talk you) My name is Thomas and I play guitar, but I also kind of do the promoting and managing for the band. Hit us back

Stealing Seasons - Looking for new DRUMMER!!!

This is Laurie with Cocoa Grey Music. I help manage and book shows for up and coming band Stealing Seasons. We are in the process of lining up several shows in the region for the band and they are interested in playing your venue.
They are from the Nashville area, so they are willing to open for a local Chattanooga act that would be an appropriate fit.
Cover charge: $3
With unique, raw, and powerful female lead vocals, the band will not disappoint with their professionalism and their dynamic and captivating live show.
You can check them out here:
www.myspace.com/stealingseasons or www.stealingseasons.com.
I will mail you a copy of their EP asap.
We will promote via myspace, flyering, street team, local press and college radio.
Please contact me at your earliest convenience and let me know if we can work something out soon! You can either reply to this message or e-mail me at info@stealingseasons.com.

Thank you very much!

The StereoFidelics

I am following up our correspondence about The Stereofidelics performing at JJ's Bohemia on 2/19/08. So far it's just us on the bill, I will research local bands that may be interested in performing with us that night; however, since we're from out of town a local band being provided would be great. For promotion we contact all applicable newspapers and radio in the area, post show ads on MySpace multiple times a day, will send along 11x17's to the club as well as to be hung around town, we will arrive in town early the day of the show and do "grass-roots" promo around campus and other areas, and at your request will send along our "CD Flyers" which we have found very effective in bringing folks out. Finally, $2 cover charge would be desired but we're willing to move it to a Free Show if deemed necessary.

Thanks!

We describe ourselves as "World Funk Fusion" we play a mix of Funk, Reggae, Latin, Jazz fusion/improv. We have 4+hours of original music, so would not need an opener unless you would prefer one. We have music on myspace and music and live video from The Pour House on our Web site www.makiagroove.com. We also can send you our CD (Will Work For Air). We usually charge a 5$ cover.

A’tris

To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Nate Lueck, and I represent the alternative rock group A'tris, based in Boston MA. We are currently preparing to embark on a two month tour across the continental US starting in June. At the last moment, a handful of our planned dates have fallen through, and so we are seeking out venues in your area for possible replacement dates. We will be in the area from June 10 to June 13, with two other bands. Should these dates not be available, we are also looking for venues to play shows throughout the rest of June, July and August, which we will be doing ourselves. We are proposing a run of up to three shows over the course of these three months, in order for us to build a relationship with the local clientele and draw a profitable crowd for the venue. We will doing promotion through myspace, our website, and various blogs and e-zines. Any information you could send us regarding open dates or opportunities for us to come in and play at your venue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time, I apologize for the late notice. Our electronic press kit is available at http://www.sonicbids.com/epk/epk.aspx?epk_id=35005.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,

Whats goin on, We are TOO FAR GONE SOUTH, a local band that is just starting to get around chattanooga. We have played at numerous venues around town including, the local, bj's, tremont, and other small venues. we play an original blues driven rock. We are a three piece guitar, drums, keys. we play all original music with a cover thrown in now and then to fill time if needed......we would love to play at JJ's. WE feel like it has become a crucial venue to play for local bands. We could meet with you and give you a press kit or........ we have some music on our page...so you could get to know us.........."there is a short delay at the beginning of the songs"... www.myspace.com/toofargonesouth....... We are looking to book shows right now. We only have two shows booked this month the 7th and the 20th and we noticed that you guys are pretty booked up through july, but you had an open mic spot on the 11th. If that spot could be filled we would be willing to do it, and hopefully use it as a chance to land a future spot playing at JJ'S. thanks for taking the time to read this.

Matt Woods’ Plan A (2003-2009)

Hey guys! We'd be very interested in doing a show at JJ's. We can cover a long night if needed, but would be most happy to do a show with a local act you guys think might fit well with us. We have been touring now for a long time, but have not played very many shows in Chattanooga, despite how close we are to ya. We are booking dates for the fall right now. You can get most of the info about the band on our page here (as well as hear some tracks), but I would be glad to send along a hard copy press kit if you like, or you could check out our EPK at www.sonicbids.com/mattwodsplana. Here are some dates we have available at the moment:

August 2 & 23: Sept. 27

Tuesdays are mostly open for us, too. Hope to do a show for ya soon.

Oh yeah, please check out my solo page while you're here, www.myspace.com/therealmattwoods. I would also be interested in doing solo shows for you if you guys do any acoustic shows. Thanks.

CENTRAL funktion

Hey there!

Central Funktion's an indie rock band based out of Knoxville - our hometown is Kingston, TN (capital for a day)...we want to book a gig at JJ's - love the vibe!

We're some pretty roots-level, blue-collar promoters, i.e. we get around pretty well on computers, as well as on-foot - soldiering around town, spreading the word thru free disc-givaways, and would definitely get the word out to all our local fans, the local press, and other bands in town. Point is: people are gonna know we are playing, and people are gonna come. There will be bodies! And those bodies will shake! And those bodies will buy beer!

We're interested in a Tuesday- the dollar beer night. Our sets can be 45-minute pure originals, or three 45-minute sets with covers, and plenty of variety. If you haven't seen us live, you can go here:

www.youtube.com/core4funk

or just take my word: one can expect energy, sweat, melody, guitars (2), bass, drums, and the occasional tambourine. You can contact Jackson at (865) 773-3458, or reply thru myspace, or Email (centralfunktion@gmail.com).

Thanks for your time, and I hope you are having a wonderful Friday!

We have street teams in your area that help with promotional support as well as a publicity company that will work the local press and radio.. We will be in your area May 9th ,10th, please let us know if something could be arranged.
Thanks!

We will be traveling the first two weeks of June and are stilling looking for two or three dates that haven't been filled for us yet. We are a wall of speakers, that punch you in the face with some heavy thrash tunes! We have songs up on our myspace for listening and will have some new ones up soon! This tour is going to be to support our first 7-inch recorded called "Pulling Strings". The record is full of our influences, be it music we listen to or the fucked up world that we all live in.

Who are the band members?
Adam Kirby - Noise Bass, Vocals
David Wayne - Heavy Bass, Vocals
Aaron Sortman - Percussion

How would you describe your sound, and who are your influences?
Where we are from and our surroundings are as much as an influence to our music as the music we listen to. Our sound is dynamic and diverse with quick heavy riffs and strong sludge tunes! Bands like Harvey Milk, Shellac, Big Business, The Murder City Devils, and Drive Like Jehu have been very inflential to us.

Jamie Randolph & The Darkhorse

hey guys,

this is jamie randolph from Memphis, Tn. I played there once before a couple summers ago and loved your bar! I saw that Cory Branan is playing there June 20th. He's a friend of ours from Memphis and we're looking for June 20th. we're in Nashville the night before and would love to hop on that bill. last time i came through i was solo acoustic, but this time I have a new band: Jamie Randolph and the Darkhorse which is kind of Wilco/whiskeytown esque. a great fit with Cory. let me know if we can make this happen and if not, we'd love to go ahead and snag a date for late july or august.

cheers,
Jamie Randolph

Someday

Hello JJ's,
I am the lead singer/promoter for the band SomeDay. We have played at your place before, had a great time, and would like to do so again. We would really love to play on a friday or saturday even if we have to book it a couple months down the road.

We play rock, have lots of energy, and can open, close, or play solo. You can call Travis Clements 423-645-9662 for more info. We would like to do a cover charge - $3.

Look forward to hearing from you soon,
SomeDay

We would love the chance to play for you guys.   Have been playing in the Chattanooga area for years.   We bring big crowds and play an energetic, original, live show.   We can bring an excellent opener with the same views.   Promotional material will be provided and we market ourselves well.  Hope to see you soon.   chris rogers 423.309.5155   thanx
