I'm sorry I chased dreams that took my attention away from you

When you meant more to me than any dream I had

I'm sorry for not being there whenever you needed me

Like you were always there for me

I'm sorry there were times I wasted

When I could have spent them with you

Time got in the way, and days slipped by

But I knew you'd always be right there waiting. 

I'm sorry there were times you anxiously waited for me

And I just walked right by.

Just knowing how much you loved me.

To recapture just one more day

The day you left I needed the comfort you always gave
