100 Pieces - Ebola Hemorrhagic Suite (Backwards Records NW, 2009)
This is a tale of sickness and disease and the sounds of an incurable
virus taking over the body. The disc starts off with a graphic narrated
recollection of a disease case from the 1980s that sets the mood for an
unsettling bio noise terror. Ebola Hemorrhagic Suite manages to capture
the sounds of transforming from health to disease ridden with samples
of broken transmissions and radio frequencies, screams and panic,
explosions, distorted typewriters, evil synthy loops and even some
dance beats for those sexy CSI autopsy moments. Definitely the sounds I
would imagine to be running through the last breaths of a weak,
diseased and dying brain. 100 Pieces have created some truly
terrifying, creepy and eerie outbreak noise.
