"Well hello all !I may have been unable to attend this weeks Batle of the bands, but my spies Ben Mulholland and Jasmine have been out and told me all the gossip !!!It would seem that I missed out on the first bit of controversy in the event !! Ok, first band to play were, were a group of young musicians from Llanberis and the surrounding areas who started their set in the way that they intended to go on: with a guitar fuelled song that was as well crafted as it was rehearsed. The band proceeded to play a varied set full of original and interesting songs, with the members communicating well with each other to produce a very tight and very good overall sound. A series of wonderfully rehearsed guitar harmonies gave an extra dimension to their fresh, new sound. The fact the balance was slightly off did not deter the band from giving a performance that was both confident and interesting." "So, all three bands played, but unfortunately only 2 were competing as favourites Dirty Words had to be disqualified, for a little rule they were unaware of. Oooops." "Here's what the judges had to say....The judges duly noted the unfortunate circumstances surrounding The Dirty Words' disqualification and proceeded to call their set amazing." "Even though they played a cracker of a gig, Dirty Words didn't change the fact that they were disqualified due to unfortunate circumstances. Though good on the band, rather than skulking home they gave the audience something they all came for: an original, highly energetic and exciting performance."
