Hey project BLUE fans,

As we mentioned before, project BLUE is going to be doing some online contests throughout the year and this is our first one. It’s going to be pretty easy to enter, so spread the word!

Contest Name:  “Show Us Your Blue”

Rules: 

project BLUE wouldn’t be possible without the support of our brand and retail partners, so this contest is one way we’re trying to say thanks to them.

For “Show us Your Blue,” we’re asking you to submit two pictures to us through email to contest@betruetoblue.com. 

The first picture is one of yourself (alone) standing in front of a store that sells products made by any of the project BLUE partners:  Billabong, DAKINE, Electric, Nixon, O’Neill, Famous Wax and Reef. Make sure the store’s sign is visible in your photo so we can tell where you are. It doesn’t have to be the store’s main sign, it can be the sign they have on the door, a window sign, etc.

The second picture is of you inside the store, standing next to or holding a piece of project BLUE gear (Nixon, Famous Wax and Electric products tend to be in display cases, so standing next to the display case is ok.)

project BLUE gear should be easy to find because of the project BLUE hang-tags.  For if you don’t know exactly what’s in the product line, just go to www.betruetoblue.com to see. Or just ask someone in the shop.

If there is a store in your area that carries products made by the project BLUE partners, but you cannot find any of the actual project BLUE gear, post a photo of yourself looking disappointed inside the store (get creative… make a really sad face, cross your arms, etc.)  Please note that if you tell us a store does not sell project BLUE gear, we are going to call them to find out, so please be honest!

When you’ve taken the two photos, email them to us, in one email, at contest@betruetoblue.com.

In the body of the email, please include:

- Retailer’s name
- Retailer’s address (include street, city, state and zip code)
- Retailer’s phone and web address
- Your name, mailing address and a phone number where we can reach you
 
Camera phone pictures are ok, but they must be sent together with the above information.

This contest is only open to entrants who have mailing addresses within the United States and its official territories.

Two winning teams will be selected at random to win this contest and each team will win a project BLUE prize pack. Each team can be up to two people at the most, each comprised of a photographer and the person in the photo. Only one entry per person/team.

Photo submissions that are “self shot” (where timer is used or the photo is taken in some other manner without assistance of a second person) are ok.
 
All submissions become property of project BLUE.


Prizes:

Each team will receive a project BLUE prize pack, consisting of two organic cotton project BLUE O’Neill t-shirts, and two project BLUE DAKINE backpacks, made from recycled materials.


Contest Dates:

The contest begins May 13 and submissions must be received at contest@betruetoblue.com by 11:59 pm PST June 9, 2009.  We’ll announce the winners by June 16, 2009.
 
Winners will contacted by email to confirm shipping addresses and sizes for the prize packs.
