October 13, 2009 - Tuesday  White House Declares War On YOU!! Category: News and Politics I'm sitting here watching Glen Beck today and he starts talking about Anita Dunn (White House Communications Director). Turns out she had some pretty interesting things to say about Fox News. Now anyone in their right mind knows that Glen Beck, O'Reilly, and Hannity are OPINION Shows.. not News programs. Same as Chris Matthews and Olbermann are OPINION shows, not news programs. Anyway.. this is what she had to say on CNN If you click the link you can watch the actual video, but I'll post a few of her comments here. Fox News often operates almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party," Dunn told CNN, adding, "let's not pretend [Fox is] a news organization like CNN is." Dunn also took her beef to The New York Times, saying in a Sunday interview that Fox is "undertaking a war against Barack Obama and the White House [and] we don't need to pretend that this is the way that legitimate news organizations behave." In the most significant exchange on CNN, Dunn stressed that President Obama now personally views Fox as a partisan opponent, rather than a journalistic organization. "When he goes on Fox he understands he is not going on it as a news network at this point," she explained, "he is going on it to debate the opposition." As an OPPONENT? So that must include the viewers of Fox News too, correct? I mean, we all remember Obama's condescending remarks about "people waving their little teabags around" mocking the very people that could be the deciding factor on whether he is a one or two term President. Isn't declaring war on Fox News just a wee bit childish? Chris Wallace called it right when he said this Administration was nothing but a bunch of cry babies. LOL I like the whole line up on fox. o'reilly is rabid anti-homeschool but I like him inspite of that. I love neil cavuto. He really is down to earth. I think another reason fox is doing so well is they have people from both sides. Like that food nazi, name forgotten, who wants the government to regulate who eats, what they eat  and when. I can not stand her but they are fair. It is just she is such a control freak. I think she is hoping for the thong czarina posititon. I honestly think people in general have been tired of msm for a long time. Shoving a mic in someones face a nanosecond after they lost everything, family, home , town to flood or tornado , then asking them how they feel is not something I want to see. But Glenn is one breath of fresh air. You know Sarah, people who critize him you can tell they either don't watch him or they have no history skills.  Usually both. For me personally that he is in recovery from alcoholism is a plus. I can relate. He was telling recently that he fired a guy once for bringing him the wrong pen and what an ass he was for doing that. It takes a really honest person to do that. Getting my information from honest people is important. Fox news is the only cable news channel willing to openly criticize the President. We all know that Obama doesn't take criticism well, so it's only natural for the Whitehouse to want to fight back. I don't think they realize how silly and petty this all looks. I would think that they have more important things to do than protect the Presidents ego. Fox news pundits ask hard questions. I think Greta VanSustran is a fine journalist (from Wisconsin I might add). She was interviewing a Republican Congressman the other night and nearly got him to admit that Congress was "for sale". Somebody has to keep these peoples feet to the fire. I personally want as much information about the goings on in Washington as possible. In this day and age, this requires gathering info from various sources.
