We live in this great big world.... A melting pot of all origins, races, sexes, colors, nationalities, and on and on.... In this politically correct world, people's senses of humor have gone by the wayside.
You can't tell a joke without looking over your shoulder to make sure no one else in earshot for fear they might be offended. You can't disagree with the President without being labeled a racist. You can't disagree with the President without being labeled a home grown terrorist.
So here it is Halloween, and I was trying to think of a good costume, and I came up with a few... but there's always some that would find them politcally incorrect.
I thought of going as "The first cat to land on the moon"
But then I might offend those who don't believe we landed on the moon.
I could go as a cowboy..........
But then I take the risk of offending those who want to take away our 2nd Amendment rights.
Or maybe an Army cat?
Naaaa... that might piss off the terrorists.. and gee, we don't want to do THAT now, do we!
Or maybe a Christmas Tree?
Oh wait.... that's right.... Christmas is practically banned now.
What if I went as a Taco?
Or would that offend Ronald McDonald?
And then I thought... A HA!! I could go as a vampire!!
But, we wouldn't want to upset the coalition of anemic people.
SO...................................................
I've decided the Heck with Political Correctness... if we continue on this path of destruction in our country... we'll be to the point where we can't speak at all without wondering if what words we say are going to be deemed offensive by someone else.
We're getting close to that...... And I don't like it at all.
I think taking the "Illegal Alien" costume off the shelves was a GIANT step in that direction. I still think that was the best costume ever :) And got a big kick out of it.... Too bad more people don't have a sense of humor about things.
