Current mood: chipper
A good week all 'round, putting up pictures for a worthy exhibition on one hand, a large loose end being knotted shortly and a good haul vinyl at the charity shop.
When you pop into the local shopping emporium and see an unseen before cardboard box of vinyl, the heart stirs...When on quick perusal several titles spring to hand and are quickly nabbed for later inspection. The thrill of sliding out an album, like Rolling Stones 'Aftermath', on the Decca label, 1964..and now 40 years later the disc slides out of the inner sleeve like silk- the sleeve sucking slightly back on the pristine vinyl like a kiss....
The heart stops..
To find vinyl this vintage, in possibly virgin condition!!!!
Beatles' White Album, Hey Jude, Revolver, Abbey Road , Rubber Soul and Sgt Peppers; Who's Quadraphenia (import-inner booklet complete) and Tommy; The Doors - 'Waiting for the Sun'..all in the same condition...........
Ah for another turntable--but then would I play them? I've probably got most of 'em digitally somewhere-why sully that sheen ???
