Who Gives Kudos:

Tuesday, January 16, 2007
I am writing a blog for the first time. Adventurousness on roller skates. I am merging into a new dimension, a younger dimension...generation. Cool. I want to share some poems I wrote:

1. Outside Joe's

Ever green,
cloak of sunlight.
Map-wrapped devotion.

Kissing with full lips,
The autumn.

Green pod-filled trees sway
Lingering heavy,
cab pulls by.

Trees pull heavy,
Brick red brick.
Time moves,
An empty hand, divided,

I travel with myself for the first time,
Moving with the laden branches,
Green tree, still yet green,
Swaying.

When the center moves in you it is a victory,
Bulbous and voluptuous, traveling on and in the sea of time.

2. Fudged Future

Career career career
Horizontal looks so nice on the page
Another subway poem
careening towards mystery.

3. About New York?

You could follow my mind with an empty spoon
pick up the pieces
You could shadow my heart with a wooden spatula
scrape it off the floor
Every muscle torn and stretched,
Vibe broken by some clatter of a horn, an ambulance.

These vultures tear at my substance,
Sabotage my inner peace, my inner piece,
Catch them like doves,
With bare hands.

Shatter the glass.

Thanks and tune in again,
Eleanor
