Television appearances often have me doing things I would never do, like ironing my shirt and my hair. Different iron, same effect. This morning, I rose at the ungodly hour of 5.30 am, to appear on Sunrise, where you can learn all about both kinds of ironing, for those in the dark about these pressing procedures. If the fear of sleeping through my alarm and missing a national appearance wasn't enough, then performing with a completely new line-up, completely unrehearsed, sent the geewillikers through me.
All my usual suspects (guitarists) are on tour (Europe is awash with Aussies as we speak), so I have a new line-up for this tour. Greg Bell and Cameron Bruce made their Angie Hart debut on national telly this morning and carved it up, people! It was quite the trial by fire, which gives me great confidence for my upcoming tour. Welcome guys.
I will be wielding the iron quite frequently over the next few weeks, so keep your eyes peeled for my wrinkle-free hair and shirt combo in the printed form and on the telly. It's heartening to be so busy for this record. I'm glad people want to know about it and share it with others, especially those that ask, 'So what have you been doing since Kelly St.?'. It's about time they asked!
I'm even gracing the airwaves of Twang, on 3RRR, for those with a Country music leaning. Whoda thunkitt?
I'll keep this one short, as I'm learning that less means more later on and more often (god bless twitter). I promise to write again soon.
Thank you for all the lovely messages I've received from those that bought pre-sales of Eat My Shadow. Nice to hear that I've brightened up someone's day through good old snail-mail. You've done the same for me.
Love to you all,
Ang x
p.s. I am embracing the world of CAPITAL LETTERS. Not bad for a two-fingered typist!
