Me? I grew up on Wax Traxx, Play It AGain Sam, 4AD, Beggars Banquet, and Nettwerk in the 80’s. I’ve been listening to the radio with my oldest son (12... I consider him my step-son without the step) and I just can’t believe how shitty and unimaginitive the music is these days... and everybody loves it! I truly don’t get it. I’m weaned on Clock DVA, Neon Judgement, Ministry, Thrill Kill Kult, Dead Can Dance, Clan of Xymox, Fields of the Nephilim, Legendary Pink Dots, Skinny Puppy, Severed Heads, Pailhead... etc. The list goes on and on.

So what’s the point? I am going old fucking school is the point. My favorite Ministry album is Twitch and I’m currently working on a cover of "Isle of Man" and I hope to have it done and posted this year of ’08. Plus with the last 8 years of the Bush administration and dealing with people who are devoid of the basic components that make us human beings... I’m just fed up! So the message of the song is clear and I think that Alain Jourgensen (circa 1988) would be proud. I’ll post it here when it’s completed.

"We get what we deserve!"

And I will be eager to hear this Twitch-inspired blasphemy of epic proportions! You and I listen to a lot of similar material!

Yeah man, the music today is like the populace of this country post 9/11. No one is willing to color outside the lines anymore, no one is willing to create... it's all recycled garbage. Everyone wants to stay pissed off and yet no one wants to in harm's way. I'm sick of it! The music was so creatively charged and imaginitive in the 80's... even the crap! So I'm going back to do this cover of "Isle of Man"

how true how true. today's music doesn't even make me feel anything. i mean nothing, aside from a few fringe groups, but still not the depth of feeling received from all the bands you mentioned.

yeah! i can't wait to here the rendition.

Thank you Cyn... you're true blue! Yeah, I NEVER would have guessed that music, this art form, would become a form of mass marketed anesthesia. It's pretty sad... and there are two songs I really wanted to cover from Twitch which are "Angel" and "Isle of Man" and it just happened to be the latter. I'm sick of this country's attitude, of our political climate, of our "entertainment" and if you want it done differently you have to do it yourself. So I'm seriously thinking of doing a cover album of artists like Gary Numan, Blancmange, Sisters of Mercy, David Bowie, Ultravox, The Cure, And Also the Trees, Eurythmics, etc. I'm not rushing that in any way but it would be a cool thing to do. I'll keep it in mind.

"Work For Love" - are you serious? I got into Ministry around Twitch so I never rode the kiddie pool wave that is With Sympathy. I shouldn't knock it though, it's a new wave staple. Who knows... maybe I will?

I sooooooo totally want to cover "Black Sun" by DCD. I'm working up to it, have been for years.
