PANELS/EVENTS

WRITING TEENAGERS: Being a teenager is painful and awkward, but comic books can't seem to leave that time period alone! Come hear from writers Phil Hester (Firebreather), Terry Moore (Runaways) and Sean McKeever (Teen Titans) as they tell you what mortifying experiences they pulled from their teen years to bring their characters to life.

DC NATION!: The call goes out once more! Join Bob Wayne, VP—Sales, Ian Sattler, Senior Story Editor—DCU and Elisabeth Gehrlein, Editor—DCU and others to discuss the current and future state of the DC Universe! (Tentative. If I'm not on the panel, I'll be in the crowd.)

SPIDER-MAN LOVES MARY JANE: Join the creators that have made this one of Marvel's most-loved titles. Writers Sean McKeever and Terry Moore and artist Craig Rousseau discuss the iconic redhead's past, present and future.

TEEN TITANS GO!: Move over Superman and Batman, there are some new DC icons! Since their debut almost 45 years ago, these teens have had everything from multiple hit comic series to a bonafide cartoon phenomenon. Join current Teen Titans writer Sean McKeever and editor Elisabeth Gehrlein as they talk Titans!

HERO INITIATIVE GAME SHOW EVENT: Get ready to match the stars for the Hero Initiative, a charity dedicated to helping comic creators in medical or financial need! Scott Adsit ("Moral Orel," "30 Rock"), Dino Stamatopoulos ("Moral Orel"), Ethan Van Sciver, Terry Moore, Sean McKeever, Phil Hester and Shane Davis will play a comics and sci-fi version of the '70s game show "Match Game" with contestants drawn straight from the audience! The event takes place on Saturday, November 8th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the FearFest Room. Tickets to the event are $5 and can be purchased at the Hero Initiative Booth (503) on the show floor. Contestants will be determined by raffle. Raffle tickets ($2 each, 3 for $5) can be purchased at the Hero Initiative booth. Winners will receive awesome prizes donated by the celebrity panelists. Plus, we're raffling off a limited edition Ibanez Silver Surfer guitar donated by Ibanez Guitars!
