one of my favorite los angeles bands is stab city.  we book lots of shows with those dudes because every show we've ever caught has been a real treat. 

one of my favorite punk scenes is in san pedro.  I don't think I've been down there this year but there was a time last year that i'd take my ass in that direction every weekend.

Still, I don't know much about pedro.

i know:

a. minutemen, mike watt, punk rock, recess records, toys that kill, f.y.p, urtc
b. breakfast spots
c. sunken city
d. that crazy korean bell that was in the movie the usual suspects.

other than that, i'm an ignorant retard.  for all i know...pedro sucks and has a year long tire fire. 

but i can't believe that because everything i have experienced there has been awesome. the people have always been really nice and the bands have always been some of the best.

so there is a show there tonight...and we aren't playing...and i'm not going... because i have a huge road trip to go on tomorrow but...this show is celebrating a new issue of a great zine: the rise and the fall which has given me a few more little nuggets of knowledge about the pedro scene.

so go to this tonight if you're feeling like a midweek adventure. stab city is playing and it is free.  tell em that pu$$y-cow sent ya 

also, i know that our drummer danny wants to go to this but needs a ride.  hit em up in our top 8 friends if you wanna travel companion.  if you're a crazy psycho axe murderer, don't contact him.  we can't afford to lose him
