So far, Crossover, Dealing With It, and Live @ CBGB's 1984 have been re-issued. Some with updated extras like interviews from the era. Let us not forget Live @ the Olympic (1986)! My question is: Why are D.R.I. still capitalizing on this golden era of the band and not touring with the same line-up which created all of this classic music?

Touring behind the strength of these releases with a sub-par line up seems like a rip off to most of us fans. I happen to know that both Felix and Josh are ready, willing and capable of playing new shows with D.R.I.... WHY IS THIS NOT HAPPENING? It just shows a lack of integrity! I could understand if the band were re-releasing Definition or Full Speed Ahead and touring with their current line-up, but THEY ARE NOT  re-releasing them! WHY? Because the band knows which releases have a history of SELLING!! So... Spike and Kurt: Don’t you think that touring with Felix and Josh might (GASP!!) BRING EVEN MORE FANS OUT TO YOUR SHOWS???!!! I know for a fact that I would be in line for those tickets and would even bring my 2 sons out to witness a reunion like this! BUT... as it turns out, I will not even be attending any of the upcoming “reunion” shows by myself, let alone bringing anyone else out.  Harald O. Has said “Sorry folks...ain’t gonna happen” when asked about bringing Felix and Josh back. That’s understandable. Nobody wants to be out of a job! I play in a band (Blunt Force Trauma) with Felix, so if a D.R.I. reunion were ever to happen, BFT would be without a drummer, but the world would get one HELL of a TOUR!!! And D.R.I., I think you would be extremely pleasantly surprised to find out that your old fans want to be taken back to the glory days of the band, because it would take us ALL back to the glory days of OUR youth!! Rejuvenation!  A return to excellence!! THAT is what it would represent. But instead, we all get a reminder of the persistence of aging. Of waning and wasting... and forgetting!
