Current mood: cheerful
So many of you San Diegans, costume enthusisasts, Shakespeare fans, medievalists, cultural historians and Renfaire enthusiasts have lamented the loss of the San Diego Renaissance Faire (held in August in Balboa Park). It was a sad, sad surprise to the 'community' to be sure.
So, I'm calling on all of you to show your support of Renaissance Faires and festivals and come to Twelfth Night. Yes, without your support and attendance - we too cannot survive! All events are dependant on their patrons - that means you!
So - you there! SD Costume Guild people - how about some of you come out in your beautiful renaissance finery? And all those amazing guilds with the horses and the live steel - we'd like to see you too! Really, if you are located in San Diego County there is no reason for you not to attend - it's local!
As we all enjoy the Christmas Holidays, remember what we all give to each other and share with our fellows ~ our love of the renaissance, history and a profound delight in each other's company.
