we recently had an inquiry about where we got our name color of amber, or more along the lines of what the name means. i thought instead of replying back, i (monique) would post it as a blog just in case others where secretly wondering the same thing :) hehe..

okay, well we got 'color of amber' from the first chapter of ezekiel. This is where the prophet ezekiel is describing a vision he has and in this vision he's brought before the throne room of God, where hes see's what looks like the "the appearance of a man" (vs26) sitting on a throne. He goes on to describe that from the waist up and waist down he (God) has as it were "...the color of amber with the appearance of fire all around it...with brightness all around it"(vs27) Ezekiel concludes that "this was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord."(vs28)

so how does that relate to us?

simply, we just want to reflect Gods glory! yep, we want HIS light to shine so brightly in us for all to see so that men might be drawn to Him and not us. Becuase it's all about Jesus baby! We were called to be a light in a dark place, and thats what color of amber is about, shinning that light (Jesus) through our music, preformance and most importantly our lives. To offer that same hope and salvation to anyone who is seeking it, all in the name of Jesus Christ.

I get alot of people asking me where i pull my inspiration from when it comes to writing songs. i tell people its like letting the world read my diary, cause every song comes out of a struggle, a testing, a trial, a lesson that Gods putting me through. I use to think that i was the only one going through certain hard times, but thats so not true, and the more i share my songs the more i realize that there are whole lot of people who are going through the same thing, and need that encouragment of Gods faithfulness in our lives. and if anything i love sharing my songs to simply encourage others that yes, God is indeed faithful!

...and its humbling and awesome that Gods allowed us to do this, cause we sure aint the best musicans out there! 

so anyways, thats a bit about what we're about and who we are... we love it. we love being in this band. its a dream come true! we have so much fun, these guys are crazy and really funny and i for one have a blast traveling and playing with these godly, studly guys! :)
