sorry to disappoint. the first paragraph was pretty annoying but it turned into an interesting interview. he or she sure has an affinity for categorization.

Thanks Perla :) I get your point of view and I think we share the same one... My bf used to know a guy that by watching extremely violent/gory pics got insensitive to them, though for me it works exactly in the opposite, the more I see the more I feel I become sensitive (to life and death, to art, to beauty).
I am glad that you liked the interview, I think you're a very bright person as well!

"The first thing that comes to mind is any educational system (especially art schools). these institutions have dumbed down any form of true creativity or the stimulation of the individual’s own personal interests. i’d love to be able to say that it helps a person find their own way, but students cannot convince me that they aren’t unlearning every single piece of unwanted garbage the system has been pushing inside their head since day one in the classroom."-- I just wanted to add how true this is. It's only now that I'm not in the classroom that I'm starting to make paintings that actually say something, that I've become pickier about the work I'm doing, and yes...I have had to unlearn a lot of shit. Seriously, the system right now is bullshit, particularly the art school system.

I finally have some girls to work with in terms of my photography, none of your quality of course. But we take what we can get.
Glad to see you made it to the new year!

I haven..t finish reading the whole thing but I stumble it and add it to my faves. I may not agree with or understand the actual meaning in everything said there but it..s a very interesting interview.
"But to use a symbol is to change its meaning. Whatever connection it has for others personally. The personal resonance it has when I use it is up to others to figure out."
Couldn..t agree more!
