Went to check out Kate Nash's in-store performance and signing at Virgin last night. She's really blown up since I saw her in September at Joe's Pub. Her show at Bowery is sold out and Williamsburg is plastered with her posters. Virgin was packed. Oddly enough, there seemed to be an inordinate amount of middle-aged men, all of whom seemed to be over 6'2" and who strategically placed themselves within the first three rows. Thanks, fuckers.

She was absolutely charming and adorable in a black jumper shortall thingy with a white shirt underneath and a little red japanese schoolgirl /girlscout tie. She asked how everyone's Christmas' were and said that she's taken up knitting. Maybe she'll write a song about it.

Her set was a short but glorious fifteen minutes:
'Mariella,' 'Mouthwash,' 'Foundations,' and my jam, 'Merry Happy.' Yeah, Kate was so fucking amazing that she made me forget about all the dirty old men around me.
