On Friday December 12, 2008 it will be 32 years ago, that I, Bernd 'Burndsman' Lichters arrived on Friday December 12, 1976 from a flight leaving Hamburg/Germany over Boston and Detroit to meet Greg Williams who picked me up at the airport, President Jerry Ford, Grand Rapid Native, was still US President. Greg and me flew to Mansfield, Ohio on Monday, December 15, 1976 to produce the demo which ultimately signed Switch to Motown Records in May of 1977.

Happy Belated Anniversary Bernd,

TVOne should probably be doing an 'Unsung' special on you to make sure you get the props you deserve. You are doing a wonderful job at keeping the Late Great (But never really gone away)Bobby DeBarge's Music & Memory alive. Keep up the great work and may you continued to be Blessed eith Success & Prosperity in all of your endeavors. Take care.

Love, Prayers & Blessings;

Yes Bernd,

You talked about this story long before the Unsung piece. I think a lot of people have a renewd appreciation for the family. Your guidance and support was instrumental in having their talents touch us all especailly Bobby who was underrated and overshadowed in many ways.
