FSD has just become part of “The Most Controversial Music Festival In the World!” It runs August 6 – 9, 2009 and is not to be believed: 120 musical acts including Ice Cube, Vanilla Ice, Coolio, GWAR, Insane Clown Posse (of course), Twiztid, and the rest of the Psychopathic Records family; Pro Wrestling; FMX Motocross; Helicopter Rides; Love Train Hayrides; Carnival rides & midway games; inflatable games; autograph booths; DJ parties; comedians including Pauly Shore, Jimmy “JJ” Walker, Roddy Piper – and so much much more, THERE’S JUST TOO MUCH TO MENTION!!!

This festival was created to showcase national acts as well as their very own home grown world class artists who have their roots growing deep into the Delta soil – they have more LIVE music than any other event in Memphis: over 150 acts on 4 stages! In addition to music, there’s the P.R.C.A. Rodeo, a kids area, Medieval Jousting, roller derby, AND much more including the Banana Derby (it’s Monkeys Riding Dogs! How cool is THAT?!?!). Thomas Nealeigh, who co-wrote the FSD musical “Flawedville” (with Daniel Hopkins), wrote a short novel called “See You On the Backlot” which is part of the Cutting Edge series for Ransom Publishing. The story of a 15-year-old boy helping run his father’s 10-in-1 sideshow and the dark pass they are running from, “Backlot” has received some good early reviews, and is a great read. Buy a copy – ask for it to be autographed at an FSD show!

SEE A NEW VIDEO SHOW WITH FREAKSHOW DELUXE MEMBERS!

Check out one of our favorite knife throwing performers – Jack Dagger – along with the lovely Tonya Kay performing LIVE on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien! Jack helped teach Conan, not only to throw knives but to perform Jack’s infamous “Jack Knife Cucumber Slice.” And Conan did pretty well!!
