Thanks for all the supportive messages guys. Each & every one is very much appreciated. I've stated previously that I'm not able to respond to every message. Music making 90%, internet 10% is my time-allocation. I do try my best. As an alternative, what I've done in recent months is advertise that I'll be on-line at a certain date & time to chat in general, answer any questions, listen to your music & give any pointers (for what they are worth). During the last session (approximately 3 weeks ago) within a 2 hour slot, I responded to approximately 100 from 200 messages. This was a lot of fun.

Recent BBC airplay brought many supportive messages. Very much appreciated. Oh & of course, the few inevitable & predictable negative comments regarding - "you're selling-out", "ego". Blah blah f*cking blah. I blog, message, & bulletin about up & coming shows because people want to know about them. This is a myspace band page. It's primary purpose is for artists to promote themselves. Not my fault you're in the small minority possessing self-inflicted density. You fail to understand the myspace band concept. Perhaps you should've stuck in a bit more at school?

Said it a million times. I won't sell out. Why? Because I don't need to. I fail to see the point in spending the vast amount of hours - needed to produce a half decent track, on a something which doesn't posses it's own character; is in somebody else's style or is a blatant nod to commercialism. There's a balance to be had between what is commercial & what is artistic. What's the point in trying to imitate somebody. What's the value in not being true to yourself. Sell-out? I'd give up first. Dicks.

Musical direction: Unchanged. I'm still developing as a songwriter & producer. I've been working to a plan for 18 months now. Still another 18 months before phase 1 of the plan is completed. I'm ahead of where I expected to be.

Recent research has shown that Kyle-CT ranting blogs are always welcome. I promise you. Both musically & ranting-wise. The best is still to come. Holding my tounge. For now

Best wishes in your sonic endeavours.

Kyle-CT

I though selling out was exchanging your principles for money - ie taking a fat advance off a multinational record company and changing your musical style to suit their marketing team. That's selling out. How the fuck is getting your existing music heard by a wider audience in exchange for no money whatsoever "selling out" ? Like you say, dicks. Sigh.
