On Wednesday, 06/04, Nick aka goodriddler and NTRW set out for an adventure; our first tour.  We packed up the van after work and headed to Medford, OR to sleep and break up the 11 hour drive.  The next morning we got up and went leisurely to Portland where our friend, Gabe Katz was awaiting us.  That evening we played a fun show to an intimate group of fine people and fellow musicians.  That night after we played, we went to a local bar to see Gabe Katz' band (mean girls) along with our friends A Pack Of Wolves play a late night show.  After the show we were thorougly exhausted, and 3/4's of us crashed in the back of the van, and 1/4 of us stayed up to party...There's no mystery which one of us that was...

After breakfast the next morning we were off to Seattle, to Cafe Racer, an awesome little cafe and bar.  We arrived early and decided to look around Seattle since most of us had never been.  It was a beautiful and relatively clear day in Seattle, so we went to Gas Works Park, and had a time.  We played a great show that evening to an excited crowd of locals.  We shared the bill with Thousands (Luke and Kristian of Heatwarmer) who were really amazing, and Navigator vs. Navigator, who were awesome as expected.  That evening we went our separate ways and stayed at three different houses.  We all had stories to tell the next morning of the previous night's events.  A good time was had by all.

After spending the morning and early afternoon enjoying Seattle's fish market, we made our way back to Portland for our final show at Annie and Charlie's house.  When we arrived they were waiting with food and beer...We hung out for a while, and waited for people to show up.  That evening, Hey Lover started the show off... an awesome husband and wife high energy punk rock duo, followed by tourmate gr, and us.  Former Sonoma County native Dio Mcclead played a rad acoustic set followed by headliner Westfold, who rocked our socks.  The basement was packed with lots of appreciative party goers who were respectful of us touring folk.  This show was definitely the highlight of our tour.  After, we went to Portland's famous Voodoo doughnuts in the middle of the night.  We went back to their house and crashed in their very accomodating spare room.

The next morning we got up around 10 and started packing up and getting ready to leave.  We had a nice breakfast with Annie, Charlie, and friend Hilary, and set off back home.  We made it home in 12 hours with various stops for gas, food, and urination among other things (Ian).  The license plate frame tells no lies... We made it home safe and sound at nearly 2am.

We all had a really great time with Goodriddler...I mean Nick.  He is truly an amazing musician who we grew to love even more than prior to the tour.  It was great seeing him play 3 nights in a row, and hanging out with him non-stop.  What a guy.  And He plays the Oo-Koo-LEH-Leh like a savage.  It was also really cool playing to those who had never heard of us before and traveling around the Pacific Northwest.  It was very refreshing meeting new people and starting new relationships.  We look forward to hitting the road again in October aka Rocktober.  Yay!
