We had a beautiful time playing the Iowa City Pride Festival last Saturday. It was our first show with Adrienne on drums and Katie on cello and it was ameaningful show for us. There were so many people there! In past years I don't remember as many folks at this event, and it makes us very happy to see so many people OUT and about, especially now that Iowa City has outlawed discriminating against GLBT people! ABOUT TIME and happy day!

What really struck us was how diverse the crowd was. All kinds of people and once again it struck me that this is our community, regardless of how you choose to live your life or how you are programmed- the GLBT community is big and strong and a huge part of OUR community.  It warmed our heart to see some many cute young couples, flirting singles, committed couples and supportive friends and family. We've come a long way from Don't Ask Don't Tell- even if that ridiculous policy is still in place.
