THE TENAFLY VIPERS
All Style, No Class
4-song CD
Sounding very much like the veiny underside of cock rock, The Tenafly Vipers pound and crunch their way into my skull with the very appropriately titled, All Style, No Class. From the first power chord to the last growl of this four-song CD, there is nothing but relentless Schlitz powered rock 'n' roll to be had, much in the vein of Social D, Cosmic Psychos, Devil Dogs, and so many others who just come to rock. If you're looking for anything thoughtful or redeeming, forget it. This is the wrong band. Hard to believe that these guys claim to have been around since 1979. This appears to be a band that still has a few jagged teeth left. I am sure these guys play the Abbey a lot, so go see.
