Over at Remix.vg, the team has been working its little fingers to the bone in order to further enhance the Remix Charts we deliver to you people out there who just love listening to hot remixes, mashups and covers.

The result of all that effort?

The first ever weekly remix chart will be coming to you live this Friday - a Non-Stop Top Ten of What's Hot in the world of remixing.

This chart will take the top ten from the past seven days VOTING (so not just popularity, also the subjective art of actually saying how good you think a track is!) on remixes on the site, put them into a ranking from one to ten, then playlist them up so you can listen to the back to back.

What's even better is that we're going to get the remix chart at Noon Friday and have it online and active for you from 2pm (GMT) - this means that come Friday night (or Friday afternoon when you're getting itchy feet at work) you'll be able to put the week's hottest ten remixes on in the 30minute+ chart while you're getting fired up for a weekend of musical debauchery, or whatever it is that you do on weekends.

We hope that our weekly charts give everyone something: producers that little bit of extra publicity for those hot remixes, and those of us who just enjoy hearing good music the chance to see what's hot in the world of remixes.

All comments appreciated.

Watch that space - the first weekly remix chart in Non-Top Playlist format is hitting Remix.vg on Friday 13th February 2009.

Rob, that sounds alot better.  Will you also take into consideration the number of votes?  So a track that has an average of 4.5 from 20 votes is ranked higher then a track that has a 5.0 with one vote?
