Article VI:  Membership Meetings

The first week of each month will be set aside for officers to have meetings.  The third week of each month will be set aside for the entire club to have a general assembly meeting.  Club advisors must attend any meeting at least once a term.  Teams traveling to provide health care must meet once before traveling to clarify the mission and protocols with the supervising doctor.

Article VII:  Election Process

Nominations will occur during the 9th week and elections will be held during the 10h week prior to the term they will be in office.  Students interested in having a leadership role cannot nominate themselves.  They must be nominated by a minimum of two H3 members.  The nomination process will continue over a period of 5 days.  During this time students may continue to nominate other H3 students by emailing the elections chair.  The chair of the elections will be one former H3 officer not running for re-election.  During this time students nominated can take the time to accept or decline their nomination.  Two days before the elections, ballots will be put together for those students that have accepted their nomination.  Speeches will be given during the day of elections.  Votes will be counted by the club advisor, the H3 elections chair and one more H3 student from the general assembly not running for election.  If there are any disputes, they may be handled similar to disputes over ASB elections at SCU.  All board members elected will serve for two terms with the potential of being reelected.  Reelection for the same position can occur only once.  After serving a total of four terms of the same position, the student is no longer eligible to serve any additional terms related to that position; however they may be nominated for another leadership position.

Article VIII:  Leadership Responsibilities

The following sub articles will give a brief description of each officer position.  Club leaders are encouraged to mold the following requirements to fit their personalities.

Article VIII A:  President

The President will meet with student leaders of ASB, EAC and their advisors.  As well as SCU's President, Vice President, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, Vice President of Student Affairs, Dean of Clinical Administration and any faculty, administration or student who may be of benefit to promoting, sponsoring, educating and helping Healing Hands for Humanity for the betterment of SCU.  The President is also responsible for temporarily taking over any officer position if he or she can no longer fulfill his or her duties.  A new student leader will be decided according to Article IX.  The President will work with leaders of other clubs on campus as well as other Chiropractic and AOM colleges when appropriate as well as attend CCO meetings.

Article VIII B:  Vice President

The Vice President will oversee all trips planned within the club.  The VP will supervise the trip leaders to make sure that contacts are being made, trips are approved, vans are rented, drivers are available, tables and supplies and translators are adequate.  The VP will also supervise the fundraiser officer to make sure dues and money for trips are collected as well as fundraising activities are occurring.  The VP also supervises the secretary to make sure all trips are organized and that the proper paperwork is completed before, during and after each trip.

Article VIII C:  Secretary

The Secretary will keep records of all meetings attended and provide minutes of those meetings to faculty and students that were not in attendance.  He or she must be able to recall date and time of past, present and future club events and may use recording devices necessary to help with note taking.  All files and notes will be kept in a safe place for any future references for as long as the club is in existence.  The files will be stored on a CD once a term; this will make sharing of information easily accessible for the club as well as have everything organized for the next secretary elected.  Minutes of meetings with officers, fundraising events and trips planned nationally, internationally and in times of natural disasters will be documented.  If it isn't written it didn't happen!  The secretary will travel to trips in reservation or assign someone that is traveling to document what took place.  The secretary or person volunteering on his or her behalf will have a camera and other recording devices to take notes, pictures, video and audio so as to come back with memories of the trip.  The secretary will work with the treasurer to get any necessary funds to complete his or her task and will assemble a team of students and faculty to help aid with record keeping and documenting activities when necessary.

Article VIII D:  Treasurer

The Treasurer will conduct fundraising events on and off campus.  This person needs to be active and dynamic in raising funds.  Each H3 member will give ideas to raise funds for their respective events.  The Treasurer and one advisor will be responsible for overseeing funds going into and out of the club.  The Treasurer will delegate a team of students and faculty members to create successful fundraising events.  The Treasurer is responsible to plan community service events every trimester to receive extra funding from CCO.  Also this student leader must work with ASB, Alumni services and any organization willing to financially support H3.  Other duties include developing grants to receive aid from the government and other sources of income that support humanitarian organizations.

Article VIII E:  Historian

Article VIII F:  AOM Chair

The AOM chair is the liaison between the AOM college & H3.  This student must be an AOM only student, not dual enrolled.  This student will work with the AOM advisor to plan trips, make contacts, collect supplies and work with the VP to make sure the trips are in accordance with the protocols of the SCU and H3.

Article VIII H:  Team Leaders

A Team Leader is not a full time officer position.  The way it works is when a group of students decide to go on a trip to Mexico, Bolivia or downtown LA there will be a team leader selected from the group.  This team leader will work with the Vice President to make sure everything is approved by the school and that all the little details of each trip are planned accordingly.  Such details include fundraising, locating translators, finding supervising doctors, buying supplies, renting a van, contacting the place of destination, etc.  The selection process will be similar to article VII but on a smaller scale.  The team leader is nominated by the team traveling.  If a team leader is not decided then that trip will not occur until someone is willing to take charge and work with the VP to plan a trip.

Article IX:  Vacant Positions

When an officer can no longer fulfill his or her duties willingly or unwillingly, one week of advanced notice to all club members, including officers and advisors is required before they may give up there seat to someone else.  The same rules apply in Article VII to elect a student leader for the newly available position.  Officers who skip meetings are considered no longer fulfilling there duties.

Article X:  Impeachment

If a student leader is not doing their responsible duties they will be warned two times by the club advisors before a vote by the club takes place to replace him or her.  The first warning will be verbally and the second warning will be written down.  If irresponsible behavior persists all active club members will decide whether or not the person in question is qualified for the position they are responsible for.  60% of the clubs vote is needed to have the student replaced.  A new club leader will be decided according to article VII.
