It’s hard to imagine that on the first day of Fall, Colorado is already
getting hit with snow. All over the Central Rocky Mountain region, from
Aspen to Winter Park, many resorts have received some decent
accumulation. Two of the more ambitious resorts like A-Basin and
Loveland have pulled out their Snow Guns and started to pump the hills
full of >lead> snow.
The best about this is (fortunately for us here in Colorado) the Snow
Squall isn’t going anywhere. In fact forecasters have put out a Winter
Storm Advisory until 6PM tomorrow for Summit County expecting
accumulation anywhere from 6-16 inches!
This has gotten everyone around the Freeskier Office excited. Whether
it’s El Niño, La Niña or Global Warming, the fact remains that we are
getting substantial snowfall…and it’s only September.
