DylanFest

The DylanFest got off to a great first night in Rosatos last night.

Steph Buhe, from France, was the first man up to play last night and he didn't let us down.

He was known for the fantastic set he played at Rawdons last year on the Friday night and he get stopped in the town and congratulated for that all weekend.

He was great again in Rosatos.

Good Crowd

There was a surprisingly good crowd for the Thursday night.

Rosatos would normally have a crowd of between 5 and 10 on a Thursday night but it was like a Saturday night in there, if not better.

There were more than 100 people there - and mostly visitors to the town.

Great Set

When Steph Buhe had a break, James O'Connor and Audrey Trainor got up to play.

They played both the DylanFest and the summer festival last year and were pretty good but I was surprised how much the had improved in the past year.

Guest Singers

Just before the end Michael Roberts from North Wales got up to play a few more obscure Dylan songs which he played with great feeling and to much applause.

Moville's top Dylan musician, Paddy McLaughlin, then got up and thrilled the audience before Steph Buhe got up and played Like A Rolling Stone, with everybody joining in.

I almost forgot.

Coca Joe got up sang I Shall Be Released to generous applause.

Great Night

That was the end of the official night but Michael Roberts and Coca Joe continued to play unplugged for a while still.

That's only the first night.

It looks like being a festival to remember.

But what a start.

And loads of official DylanFest T Shirts got sold
