ENCORE! and FRIENDS present “A Celebration of American Music” Friday, August 7th and Saturday, August 8th at 7pm at The Princess Theatre Center for the Performing Arts.
Featuring the talents of many local performers, this show will celebrate the broad range of music styles which have been woven into the cultural fabric of our country. The first act of the Celebration will include stirring patriotic offerings such as the ever popular Armed Forces medley, and the majestic Star Spangled Banner. A montage of classic songs from the Great White Way will showcase many individual voices during the Give My Regards to Broadway medley. Showtunes from the hit musicals Jersey Boys, Wicked, and Hairspray will also be performed. The second act will feature the many sounds of rock and roll, from the classic 1950s bopper hits, to the latest in classic rock. It will be an evening of great entertainment for ALL ages.
