hey yall...the Jesus For President tour has been real wonderful so far.  Come out if you can....we play a lot of different stuff throughout....it's not a full psalters show...but we play a lot....and shane and chris have put together a real good speech around the issues of Church and state
we caught the eye of quite a bit of media so far.....which is mostly fun....sometimes bad....always awkward.   Sorry to all my fellow grease hunters.  I just made our lives harder.......i tried to emphasize on camera that hunting for grease sucks these days to hopefully lessen the impact.
here is a link to the article...and/or video.:

Check out the video if you can....and then come out and see us please!

I have to agree with the previous commenter. I'm not totally familiar with what all y'all are doing, but from the things I observe I am very grateful to what you guys are doing and I'm glad I can be a spiritual partner in ushering God's kingdom on earth.

That said, I pray we wouldn't get sidetracked, because its easy to do. Let us stick to the roots of why Jesus came. Romans 13 is key. The Jewish people thought Jesus came to overthrow the roman government but did He? He was more concerned with the revolution in peoples' hearts. Repentance of sin.

I am VERY glad the Church is awakening to the mission of helping the poor and downtrodden in our societies. That is a result of a changed heart. Jesus was concerned with inward revolution of our own hearts. I believe with this inner change will come dramatic outward changes that affect even our governments. Let us keep close to the Word of God and pursue His heart above our own political agendas. He may have something in mind politically, but like the previous commenter said, it's important to be respectful of authorities no matter how wrong we think they are.

Dear Psalters,

Without question,
a revolution in our hearts
is a revolution in everything else.

Keep it up.

Looking so forward to seeing you so soon.

not sidetracked,
eyes fixed on pillar of fire,

so I just made the connection between Jesus for President - the book, and the Psalters.
I've only heard good things about the book, and now I'm all for reading it! Awesome, guys!

why is it that religion is stuck on the whole "sin and repentance is worse than war" or aids in africa or anything else?
or some religions that dont vote because their gods or whatever "will look over them and thats all they can trust"
TAKING AWAY THE VOTE OF A LARGE GROUP THAT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT HUMANS.

IS THAT NOT THE BEST WAY TO WIN AN ELECTION OR WHAT? SOUNDS LIKE BUSH THOUGHT IT UP HIMSELF TO ME.

but instead can you not just spread your message or gospel to everyone you meet repent your sins and NOT obey the demands of the most hypocritical religious right wing war mongers?
i couldnt consider myself a believer in any religion because theyre all so ridiculous and never work for me.

maybe faith isnt my thing, in fact i know it isnt. all i need is a little burning bush and my life would be devoted to my religion because then i know it would be true and my work and devotion would be worth it. but i still think i make the world better without a religion or repenting my "sins".

i hardly "sin" if i would categorize my actions as sins. i spread goodwill and love for everyone at all times, i and i fight the corruption and oppression and ignorance of this country too.

so isnt war on innocent people and materialism on such a gross scale more of a sin than sex or drinking?
wouldnt jesus want to stop the government more than my roommates?
i just dont get it.
