This photo was taken in the Washington D.C. subway by my dear cousin, Aquiles Holladay. The three young ladies shown are not known in terms of there names, occupations, or current whereabouts, but they served the purpose of visual representation for the many sentiments expressed on the 'lost EPisodes' album quite deftly. Cool, stylish, and innocent . . . that's the definition of 'fresh.' I wanted to be fresh sounding, and that means I had to delve into the mind of a beginner like a continual student. With the mantra, 'always return to the beginning' I remembered that love is the only foundation--for any endeavor--that can last. Love: It's not just hip, it's the realest thing, more real than international finance, despite what the economists say, in fact. This album is based on quantum-physics and prayer, in hope that a freshmen effort will cure and get better with time multiplied by space multiplied by emotion, that the world will change, and one day we will look at the genius in a continually blooming rose, a newborn baby's face and say, 'now there is a masterpiece!'
Sincerely,
Juan D Holladay
