Every film composer, at one point or another, wants to score a western. They are unique in the way they mix intimate emotion with "big sky" grandeur. The opportunities the western affords us to step between darkness and light - hard life to enduring hope - are difficult to find in any of the other genres.
Well, I am very happy to announce that I am now attached to score a feature western called SCARLET CREEK. It is the story of Jake, a young rancher who after his family is murdered, must find a way to avenge his loss while reclaiming his own humanity. He is aided by a loyal gunslinger, a mysterious stranger, and a young Native American woman with her own demons to silence.
I'd like to thank Writer/Producer Dustin Schuetter for bringing me on to what is sure to be an incredible film. You can learn more about SCARLET CREEK by clicking the "Dark Horse Pictures" link on my top friends list, or you can go to www.darkhorsepicturesllc.com
