He Himself knows our frame;
He is mindful that we are but DUST
As for man his days are like GRASS
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
When th wind has passed over it, it is NO MORE;
And its place acknowledges it NO longer.

But the lovingkindness of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him,
And His righteousness to children's children,
To those who keep His covenant,
And who remember His precepts to do them.

Nice poem and imagination!
lovingkindness=those who fear him.
Wanting fear to give love and kindness?
His covenant= believe in him
Refuse his coverant=burn in hell 4ever
Do you want people that don't believe in you to burn in hell 4ever?
Are you more loving than God?

What a great poem because it demonstrates an already revealed Truth in the Bible that God really does actually love us A LOT! :) After all, if God is full of vengeance and wrath, it begs the perplexing question, 'What in all of creation is stopping Him from wiping us all out right now!?' By the very established scientific fact that the world is still turning and that we are all still alive on this planet is proof positive of the spiritual fact that "God is Love," and that "The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy." (Psa 103:8) "For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
" (Psa 103:11)

The Grace of the Lord is upon all them that fear, or in other words revere Him. Sometimes we get into trouble when we take a 2,000 text and apply it to our 21st century minds. The meaning of words change. Hot for example now means its "cool," and cool used to mean "not hot." Gay used to mean happy but things have changed so much even in the last decade! We can know for certain that we are not called to be afraid of God because "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love." (1Jo 4:18) Fear (being afraid) and love are diabolically opposed to one another. How can God ask us to fear, or be afraid of Him if the Bible says "God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
" (2Ti 1:7) It is so awesome how the Bible is its own book and its own dictionary!

God is so merciful that He won't even allow people who reject Him to burn forever in Hell. They will simply "perish," and "they shall be as though they had not been." (Oba. 1:16) After all the scripture Christians love to quote, John 3:16 is evident that the decision is not eternal life in heaven or eternal life in hell, but simply eternal life, or death. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
" (Joh 3:16)

"As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live:" (Eze 33:11) The Biblical truth is that nobody will suffer torment for the rest of eternity.. that is not Biblical. We know that Sodom and Gomorrah suffered the vengeance of eternal fire (Jud 1:7) but clearly, Sodom and Gomorrah are not still burning. Sodom and Gomorrah are set forth as an example of the fate that all will suffer who live ungodly (2 Peter 2:6). For more on this see helltruth. com The idea of an underworld really came from Babylon/Paganism. Nimrod's wife taught and believed that when Nimrod ascended into the sun (becoming eternal in the sun) that he would watch over and protect people by day and battle the evil spirits of the underworld at night. Remember they had no concept of the fact the world is round. So, thinking it was flat, it made perfect sense that the sun went 'under the earth' into "the underworld.
"

As those who love God, we sleep in death until Christ's second coming. "So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep." (Job 14:12) This was the Jewish belief, that man would be resurrected on earth's last day. As Martha stated of Lazarus's death, " I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day." (John 11:24) And so it is True that "the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:" (1Th 4:16) As you're poem says, when the wind has passed over the grass "it is no more, and its place acknowledges it no longer.
"

Satan uses force to coerce people to worship him, especially through government. In Daniel he used Nebuchadnezzar to force people to worship a golden image by law, and the Jewish leaders went to Pontious pilate to have Jesus crucified. The Catholic church became the civil ruler over all of Europe for over 1,000 years and put countless millions to death by torture. God's method is completely the opposite. God is love, and those who love love, are really after God, for God is love. In Christ, He humbled Himself to die for all our sins because God's standard for eternal life is absolute perfection with no sin whatsoever. "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" (Rom 3:10) So, Christ having died for us, in our place, having suffered for us that eternal separation from God when He cried out "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" He has suffered our death so that we might be reconciled to God through Christ, the sinless one.

The sin problem and turning to God is not a popularity contest. Its the fact we are all on a sinking ship called Earth because it ran into the iceberg of sin and the result will be death at the bottom of the ocean unless we turn to God through the One who walked on water and live. God didn't jump out in front of us and tempt us to disobey Him "for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:" God gave us Humans the amazing gift of FREE-WILL and this means we have the freedom to choose not God. God does not want a race of robots. He wants to spend eternity with those who love and revere Him. Our free will is more proof that God wants to be with people who want to be with Him. He has wired us the same way in our own relationships so that we might understand this.

The final testing Truth of God's love for an unbeliever to ask God to reveal Himself to them personally. God promises us that "And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD:" (Jer.
29:13,14)

Its amazing that none of us want to be deceived but few of us are willing to seek the TRUTH. How shall we find and know what is truth if we do not look for it? "Thus saith the LORD the maker thereof, the LORD that formed it, to establish it; the LORD is his name; Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
" (Jer 33:2-3)

You ought to be more careful and study the Bible more carefully, not glossing over truths you don't like.

Dr. Albert Moler pointed out the disappearance of Hell (eternal Conscious punishment) started in the 18th century.

You cannot say that these words are different today because Hell has been affirmed throughout the history of the Church.

God certainly is more loving than anyone could ever imagine, but that Love does not somehow negate his wrath. The two go hand in hand.

I can see easily how they fit together, but many have charged that it makes no sense to talk of both a God of love and a God of wrath and holiness.

my answer is, you had better hope that there are things about God that you don't understand, or else, his ways certainly wouldn't be above yours...

With that said, let me ask you to read a few verses:

YOu assert a certain theology on the Old Testament that doesn't pan out so much:
Isaiah 66:24
"And they shall go out and look on the dead bodies of men who have rebelled against me. For their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorance to all flesh.

Further Daniel 12:1-3
I will not quote it for space, but read it

I would also like to point out that it is false to say that the Old Testament teaches that we will be in some kind of soul sleep while we wait for the lord to return

For it says in Psalm 115:16-18
" The dead do not praise the LORD, nor do any who go down to silence. But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and forevermore.

The psalmist speaks as if the praise shall be unending and unbroken starting now and never ceasing.

A wise preacher rightly pointed out that this would imply that even in the midst of Hell those burning would not repent or give glory to God in praise, but rather would hate him all the more, thus piling on themselves even more transgression.

It should also be noted that David started rejoicing when his son died because he knew that after his death, he would go to be with him.

in the New testament, there are a plethora of passages to refute what you are saying. but I will deal with a few pillar texts on the subject.

JEsus said to the thief on the cross, "I tell you the truth, Today you will be with me in paradise"

Further, in revelation, prior to Christ's second coming (Rev ch 6) the "SOULS" of the saints are surrounding God's throne asking when he will pronounce judgement on those who took their life without cause.

Thier bodies weren't there, their souls were.

It's safe to say that conditional immortality and annihilationism are both bankrupt scripturally.

Several have asked me, what about the verses that speak of Hell as destruction?
Well, that's easy, when I destroy a thing, I don't make it cease to exist, i make it useless for anything. If I destroy the soda can that i am drinking from, I don't make the molecules disentegrate into thin air, I make the can useless for holding soda.

However, lets take a look at how the Bible uses the word destruction (olethros and apollymi/apoleia) and see if it fits what I'm saying:

to refer to a land that has lost it's fruitfulness (olethros ezekiel 6:14, 14:16)

to ointment that is poured out wastefully and to no appearant purpose (apoleia Matt 26:8; Mark 4:14)

to wineskins that can no longer function because they have holes in them (apollymi Matt 9:17; Luke 15:9)

to the entire world that perishes as an inhabited world, in the flood (2 Peter 3:6)

In none of these cases do te objects cease to exist; they cease to be useful or to exist in their original, intended state.
(thanks to Douglas Moo "Paul on Hell")

The fact of the matter is, every sin you commit is an infinite slap in the face to an infinite being. You deserve an infinite punishment...PERIOD

The fact that many are saved from that, not only shows God's incomparable love, but also reveals his mercy as it is combined with his holiness.

All throughout history, the first doctrine that has been given up in orthodoxy is the doctrine of Hell. But you should be cautioned because no doctrine stands alone. You take away the doctrine that says we actually deserve an eternal conscious punishment and then you cheapen the grace that is received that snatches us from that pit.

There are several othre doctrines that will fall soon after you give up the doctrine of hell - clark pinnock is a prime example: Where he has followed his logic to the ultimate conclusions and he no longer believes that God can know the future perfectly, but he is rather like a grand chess player he tends to notice how certain players will act in certain situations, therefore he can guess the future with a high degree of accuracy.

This is where you'll end up if you stick with the liberal doctrines you have chosen... Or else you'll fall into Mormonism or Jehova's witness's who both deny the eternal punishment of Hell.

I'm DEFINITELY not more loving than God... In fact, I wish I was as loving as Him...

Also... do I want everyone who doesn't believe to go to Hell??? No way! I would love to see the people whom I love to go to Heaven one day... but that's not my choice... what they do or what you do.
All I can do is warn...

We have choice... if we go to hell, it was our choice... you either go to Heaven and accept Christ's gift (if that wasn't required... then His coming to this earth would had been in vain... no point... and He did not suffer like that with no point... there HAS to be a punishment for sin... and He took that punishment upon Himself... so that we don't have to... THAT'S LOVE... would you had done that??? I'm glad your not God... I'm glad I'm NOT God...

Beside... what's so hard about believing in him... maybe you prefer your own way more, cause you can make up your own rules? Just a question

It's all choice

It's not a matter of belief that sends someone to Hell - it's a matter of sin.

Sin deserves punishment.

Belief is the only way to escape that punishment.

YOu see, Jesus took the punishment on the cross - if you'd like to know exactly how that works out, I'd love to explain it to you.

The infinite wrath of God is what you deserve for your infinite insult to God's HOliness by sinning.

Jesus took the infinite wrath of God on himself. In the Garden he said, "God take this cup from me." The cup represented wrath in the Bible (historic times). God poured out his infinite wrath on Jesus. (only an infinite being could bear the infinite wrath of God in a finite time).

hell is described as outer -darkness (while in the cross the Earth went dark for three hours)
Hell is described as separation from God (While on the Cross he cried "Why have you forsaken me).

Hell is described as the fire of God's wrath (Isaiah said, God "Crushed him" his only son).

This infinite being bore the wrath of your eternity in Hell.

The only way to accept the payment for that punishment is belief... if you'd like to know why I'd like to explain that too.

You've already messed up - no work can fix what's been done. So, nothing you can do will save you from your sin. So, God fixed it so that the only thing to fix what's been done is to believe (the lack of any work at all) because Jesus is most glorified in that HE DID ALL THE WORK.

You must believe the Gospel!

Why didn't Jesus Pay for the sins of everyone without regard to belief? God's Holiness must be displayed infinitely - He will punish some forever just as he will love some forever. But he makes the offer to everyone who will beleive.
