**How to book at Rock Bottom! If you are a local band and would like to jump on a show that is already booked, send us a message and if we think you fit and we have a slot , we will likely add you. Please do not be offended if we do not write back. We get tons of emails and sometimes we just can't respond to every email we receive about shows. Don't give up, write us back.

**If you are a local band who want's to get on a national show. Send us a message and if we have an opening and we think you fit we will write you back and likely add you. Keep in mind, we are allowed very few slots on national shows, if any so we have to be selective and make sure that it is worth our time and your time to add you to a national show.

**How do I know if my band is worth opening for a national? YOU NEED to have played Rock Bottom before.YOU NEED to have drawn people to the show you played at Rock Bottom before.YOUR BAND needs to promote, and that means make a flyer, pass it out, send bullitens, go out there and face to face promote ( Street Promotions) , call your friends, call your grandparents, point is, GET PEOPLE TO YOUR SHOWS, so that we can be able to pay you AND get you on national shows. National slots are earned and not just handed out.

** Why doesn't my band get paid at Rock Bottom? How do I get paid at Rock Bottom?Probably because you didn't bring anyone to watch you or to pay to hear you play. Although Rock Bottom isn't a fancy venue, it is expensive to open those doors. Keep in mind, the venue has to pay sound, staff, electricity, water, phone lines, toilet paper, paper towels , cups, ice etc.... just to open, its not free kiddies. We think each member should at least be able to bring one friend to a show that will pay. Most bands have an average of 5 members, bringing 5 paying customers to a show your band plays isnt alot to ask, yet you would be surprised how many bands bring not a one. Rock Bottom does keep a mark down, if you bring us people , we will pay you.

**How do guarentees work at Rock Bottom? You ask for one, If you do NOT ask for a guarentee then it is up to the venue's discretion to decide whether or not you will get paid, UNLESS another deal has been made with you by the venue or an outside promoter. This decision of course is based on those things we mentioned above those being expenses and whether or not you bring people to see your band. Now, just because you ask for a guarentee does not mean we will agree to it. You are welcome to ask for a guarentee and if we feel your band is worth it and deserves it, the we will gladly agree to it. However if your band has never brought people to a show , then there is no way we will agree to pay you a guarenteed amount.

*NOTE : Rock Bottom does do a mark down so we can see how many people your band brings, we also have outside promoters who make other deals with local bands, for example, a promoter may use the $1 a head system.

**How do I or my production company book our own shows at Rock Bottom? If you are an outside promoter and want to book your own show at Rock Bottom, booking your own show means...YOU book a full line up (min 3 bands for a weekday , min 4 bands for a weekend)YOU promote your show (flyers, bullitens , street promo)Rock Bottom will add your show to our in house promotions.YOU communicate with the bands you book and make sure they are going to show up and that they promote.Rock Bottom charges a flat rate for outside promoters, this is negotiable but our standard deal is....$200 for staff. This covers the venues expenses for the night which include sound man, door staff and security. The venue also takes a $1 facility fee per person that pays to get into the venue. So basically, you pay $200 plus a $1 a head. Always make sure to add the $1 facility fee to whatever base ticket price you charge.

**ALWAYS make sure when you book at Rock Bottom to make note of who you booked a show with, was it the venue? Was it Angel? Was it an independent production company? Ask questions, make sure you know the name and phone number of the person who booked your show at Rock Bottom because that is the person who you will need to speak to about times, pay etc.

**Rock Bottom wants bands to know that we appreciate you and we want you to play our venue! We want to help you grow and get good shows with us! Feel free to write us or call us!**You can reach us here at our myspace , or you can email Veronyka at Veronyka13@yahoo.com.Thank you for reading this far and we look forward to a great new year!

Bobby D. Manager for Force of Genocide
Bobby DelBosque

Hello, my name is Bobby D, I am the manager of a local band named, FORCE of GENOCIDE.  The band would like an opportunity to play at your venue, they have played there once before and had a good response.  The band would like to know if they could be added to the Saturday lineup?  If not keep them on standby, in case a band cancels, they are ready to play.  The band last played at MANIACS ROCK BAR on November 13th for their DEMO release party, so they are eager  to play again.   The band does not expect to get paid, just at least 30-45 minute slot.  Please if you read this and would like to consider, please call 210-445-5670.   Thank you for your time.
