CAMBIATA
The members of the alternative-rock band Cambiata are young -- they range in age from 20 to 23 -- but have already progressed far career-wise.
The band has been playing gigs since 2004, toured around the country a couple of times, and won various local music awards. Its also had some interest from record labels, but nothing "formal," says Sean Morin, who plays guitar and keyboards.
Cambiata's influences range from the Beatles and Jeff Buckley to Radiohead and Silverchair.
Besides Morin on organ, electric piano and guitar, the band includes Miguel Barajas on electric guitar; Dan Capaldi on drums, bells, and percussion; Stan Dzengelewski on bass; and Chris Moulton on vocals.
Cambiata will hold a CD-release show for its album "to heal" at 7 p.m. Feb. 2 at the Station. Tickets are $10. Call 773-3466 or got to Cambiata.
