I will begin working with a new rhythm section today, consisting of Shawn (bass) and Angela (drums).  They come highly recommended by the engineer I am working with at One East Recording, Eric Feigenbaum.

My overall goal for the finished product is to attract the attention of a permenant rhythm section, as well as a vocalist.  It will also be used to get gigs for a full band to play.  But first things first.  Shawn and Angela are for hire musicians, but there is always the possibility of convincing them to stay on for the long haul.  We'll see how things shake out.

In other news, the new Dead Copycats website is (partially) up.  At the moment the site consists of a logo and a music player, but more is in the works.  Domain names representing as many variations on the band name as I could think of have been purchased, (e.g., thedeadcopycats.com/net/org, deadcopycats.com/net/org, etc.), and the redirects have been set up.  For now the site will be hosted on the servers used for my company, (anotherreason.com), so don't be surprised if the URL you end up with iss anotherreason.com/deadcopycats.  

Do you like the logo?  I designed it myself.  I am not much of a graphic artist, but I think it turned out pretty well.
