Have you ever heard one of those songs that just make you remember the happier times in your life. One of those songs that can make you smile no matter how crappy you're feeling. There are very few that do that for me so when I find a new one I'm always ecstatic to learn and remember things I thought I had forgotten. Music is such a huge part of my life. I've had the fortuity to have been brought up with what I consider some of the greates music ever written. My dad was a big influence on the music I started listening to. Hendrix, Queen, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Stevie Ray Vaughn, you know some of the most influential names in guitar driven music.

 My dad taught me how to play guitar, and after I had gotten on my own two feet with that I started looking into new types of music and trying to expand my interests and play style.

Carl is a huge influence in my musical tastes; introducing me to Rush, Modest Mouse, The Kinks, Different Classical musicians, honestly he's my source on new music that I like.

 The current band I've been listening to lately are The Smashing Pumpkins. The main reason being to learn "tonight, tonight" but inadvertantly found a song I had never heard before. Thirty Three. It sounded odd, and had a child like quality to it that I cannot explain sufficiently here. You'll just have to listen yourself.

    It was one of those songs that brought everything back, fresh and vibrantl crisp.
Mainly memories of me goofing around with friends in my back yard when we still had the big tree, and memories of friends who I don't see anymore, as well as recent memories of camping and such.

The only other song that I found that does this to me is Missed the Boat by Modest Mouse. There aren't any others I can remember, but it reveals itself everytime I hear one of those songs.

I don't know why I decided to write this down but it just kind of happened, and I hope that you have something that means as much to you as music means to me.
Cherish it, cultivate it and grow.
