Socialism issue 5 is coming on strong at the moment… first batch of interviews back in (Alain De Botton & Lonely Planet's Tony Wheeler, since you asked). Trying to work out how to blag onto EasyCruise for a three day insanity session – kind of what the mag is lacking at the moment. We're also thinking of doing some t-shirts and badges soon… anyone interested at all? Mail robin@socialismmagazine.com if you are. They'll be nice, honest.

Hopefully will be with you in time for the school holidays!

Could do a gonzo piece about Lithuania if you're interested - fucking mad place! Tell you about it next week if you're around. It involved cruising round swamps on a boat crossed with an aeroplane, meeting an 'ironic' rock band whose name apparently translates into something more objectionable than Kick The Bitch (and whose singer is a judge on their version of Pop Idol), stumbling upon a ramshackle electro-punk band in the middle of the Skamba Skamba folk festival, eating eel and vodka soup, worshipping pagan bee deities, cheap, strong beer and 70 per cent proof mead, and discovering the Soviets almost turned the cathedral into a tractor repair shop, went to an anarcho-bohemian self-proclaimed republic in the part of the city, etc etc - the Soviet-Realist Frank Zappa statue in the capital was being renovated though, unfortunately, so I missed that. But t'would make a good piece I reeckon.
