RevolverCanada is proud to finally add Jeff Samuel to our label roster. We have been big fans of Jeff's work for almost a decade and the GAMMALT SKRÄP EP resonates and synergizes with the labels past and future. After almost ten years of existence as a label, we have just arrived at the humble catalog 25, representing the end of an era. In celebration, we present a reflective ambient EP of eclectic and highly developed pieces from Jeff. Some of these pieces were originally composed between 2000-2003, well before Jeff moved to Europe and established himself as a household name. The GAMMALT SKRÄP EP represents the beginning of a new concept for the label. We plan to release a number of ambient releases, written by producers that are typically known for their dance floor productions. Ambient and experimental music has all but disappeared from club culture in recent years. There are many established producers out there, known for their dance floor material that don't often get a chance to show their weirdo sides. We want to provide an outlet for these sounds once again. We also want to offer this EP as we enter the sombre winter season up here in the northern hemisphere. And after all, most of us don't often get a chance to grab some tracks that are good for a quiet Monday evening after the long weekend haul.

You can't pin down the precise feeling you get from this one. It's just breathtaking. A pretty, sad, optimistic, pessimistic allin-one. Utter masterpiece. Something says funeral procession to me. Friends that had a pre-listen have already shed a few tears.

Factor 3 is an introspective and hopeful laid back track that reminds of early Black Dog and like-minded electronica.

Dubby breakbeats and swelling melodies. A worry-free stroll in the park.
