Current mood:  tired
Category: Blogging
So, the insanely aware are bound to have noticed that I spread thin in the blogging department between this site, my own little den at www.gildenlow.com and www.painofsalvation.com. Same old mouth though. Same old pen, old keys. Whatever. But the toolbox has a new pet. I am entering this blog with my iPhone. Smooth and so contemporarily mobile, wouldn't you agree? Now don't get your hopes up - I still won't check my inbox on this commercialized corner of the digital world, but I do occasionally check out your sites, if you attract my attention during your request. And I do enjoy reading your replies to my blog entries. Sometimes I even forget myself and find myself loving you...
Karolina

Does that mean you think we "myspacers" are hopeless, then? Like... we can't see beyond the evil machine or something? Don't misunderstand me, I'm just asking, no feelings involved, I promise :)

My friend has an Iphone....he won't put that thing down. He even drives while texting which I usually am forced to take it away from him before he kills us both. Great little tool, very dangerous. Its the man version of putting on lipstick while driving.

Oh, that is just something new... So i send you a blog comment and you receive the message on the mobile while you are dealing with Sandrian , eating the Aloha burger ( I know that thing stopped being produced, just wanna niggle you ) , playing DIABLO 2 , getting intimate with your wife? That is just disturbing man. You'd better give me your iphone number so i can call u and see what happens... just joking.

I set myself on fire to breed myspace. com

Doesn't matter of that how much iPhone has that shiny & smooth outlook, with (potentially) good functions, I'd prefer to take htc touch (touch hd) with Windows Mobile 6 platform or Nokia N810 WIMAX edition (with n standard) - which is by the way counted as Internet tablet and which price is expresed in 4-european monetary digits. You can check these two "toys", doesn't matter you already owned an iPhone. I cocnluded that you prefer Apple related stuff, just I would please myself just with iMac or Macbook, speaking about Apple products.

It's good to know that you're watching after us.

Good that I have never send an inbox then (Yep I am a lazy bum) ha ha,
I expected that much though.

Either way good luck with the iphone, I am too old fashioned to get the
whole concept of mobile internet to begin with.

My phone only has the strange habit of texting and calling people.
;)
I was giddy as what though when someone gave me an ipod.

But my point of this whole post is:
Good to hear you're still alive and kicking.

Frighteningly contemporary, I would say! My goosebumps are procreating at an alarming rate.

I've never bothered to pick up an iPhone, not out of disinterest; more so a lack of financial leg room.
I hope your gadget brings you endless hours of frighteningly contemporary joy!

Not surprised you seldom visit your myspace page; I was actually flabbergasted initially when I saw that you had made one. You've always struck me as the kind of person who would disdain a website such as this, basing my assumption entirely on your scarce blog entries and songwriting, of course. Hell, I'm not entirely sure why I made a myspace page, I have clearly been hypnotized irrevocably by "The Man." Sorry, I must cut my comment off here and begin searching for the chip I suspect "They" have planted in the back of my neck.

Aw this last line was SO cute!

Daniel, your philosophy is absolutely amazing. You have the gift to open people's eyes. With songs like Inside, Dea Pecuniae, you changed a lot of the view I have of the world we live in.

Some people are born to enlighten others, like Plato's myth of the cave. And I am sure you are one of those people that make the world be better. You really should write a book to share more widely with the world what you have to say. I am with you in the fight for a decent life, to rescue our individuality and humanity.

I am so sad I lost your concert here in Brazil some years ago. A friend of mine said he met you guys in Mc Donald's right after the show. I'm so envy.
hehehehe! However eating in Mc Donald's feeds the 'big machine', but we can't avoid it, can we?

I don't have an iphone so I suppose I really don't know or understand what you are talking about...I also don't remember writing a response to a blog of yours..so this would be my first time. But I write to you here with the 'hope' that you will read it, because the comments that people leave on the profile are often photos or pure publicity of their bands or whatever. I don't want to be of those people who just want to tell you how wonderful you are or your music is and blabla you're cool ..etc, though I think you're one of the most talented musicians I've ever heard (I'm also a musician, or at least..try to be and study to become one..dunno). I just wanted to write to you and tell you that you have many followers in Chile (hope you know were this is, in case you don't, is a long and thin country in SouthAmerica close to Brazil).Hope you come visit us some day...we even have a Chilean forum...Anyway I already lost the point so I just will say goodbye for now...Oh, and about the blog ..I think sometimes it's good to forget yourself..that means you're not such a selfish and self-absorted human ;);)

^^

See you soon (haha yeah right xD)..in myspace I mean :P

I see you keep up with the constant technological unfoldment! :) "Same old mouth though. Same old pen, old keys" = "Now don't get your hopes up"! Same old optimist ha?? (I'm just joking!) As for the last part, ask any of your friends! Who hasn’t forgotten himself while listening and loving one of your masterpieces! We all find our selves loving you! (Besides love's not a bad thing) :) I hope tired will soon (if haven't already) transform into relaxed!

löl you're fun ;-D
well I have to say that you once has been my greatest influence in singing ... but somehow it turned out that now Russell Allen and Johnny Lindquist (this name I wrote wrong) are my main influences ... noticing this after a gig I went home and went through every pain of salvation CD I have ... made me melancholic that this guy that had been paragon nr. 1 now turned into ... well ... I don't know ... actually my friends told me that they hear R. A. and J. L., but not your influence listening to my singing ...
Well ... again there's something to say: at youtube I found a record of undertow (my favorite song, especially the live version <3 so much feelings) of some guy who's voice sounded quite like yours! He actually did a good recording stuff and some people wrote that this is better than the original version ... I didn't like that ...
well in the end I found out what's different to his version and yours ... your version is so full of feelings and emotion in music, too ... his one is just ... well ... more ordered? I don't know ... it just "sounds" better, but the original version "is" better because of the feelings ... by the way I don't think that he would do such a good job live, too ... and as I said I like your live version even more! ;-D You see I my thoughts turned around this thing ^^ you shouldn't beat my paragon nr. 1 this way ... !
But I'm waiting for the DVD ... I'm so hungry!! ^^ ...
Well ... disturbed you enough? ... hm ... is there more to say ... ? Oh, answering to your post would be good =D so ... I think you do the right thing answering to nobody, because answering to just some is unfair! Well your brother once answered me XD and I'm happy about that ;-D but don't answer! ;-D It may hurt ... : >
ah and the last thing ... "loving you" ... loving fans and be loved ... makes the ego big ;-D sadly I know this ... well, couldn't you offer some singing lessons on youtube or somewhere? ^^ would enjoy this, dude :-P bla bla bla ... o okay ... I shut up =)
go on and compose this new master peace, add brilliant vocals and again show your genius =P MAN WE ALL'RE WAITING FOR YOU!!! actually I should say I wait for the whole band, but ... beeing a singer I just have the main look at the vocalist, u understand? ^^ well ... leave it ... go on not answering anything ... answer by using music, feelings and this godlike voice, dude ;-D

"Commercialized corner of the digital world"
I like that, I like that a lot.

We love you too Daniel, and I, at least, am very forgetful :)

As far as iPhones go, I think they are slightly over-glorified. Useful, yes, but I know many a friend that has let this tool become a distraction.
I, myself, am happy with my cruddy LG :)

hmm...
well i don't know the real daniel i only know the one i get to read, see and listen about... with that as a basis i must say im starting to get dissapointed from you.

In the begging you made a myspace for buisness purphoses which is really understandable and then 1 generic post which is again understandable.

Later on you made another bulletin which was, or at least looked like more personal, more "i'm sharing something with you" and some more afterwards.Whilst doing that you were replying pretty often for a man that made a myspace "against his will"(im putting it in brackets because if there wasnt sometype of pressure you wouldnt have) meaning that you enjoyed the communicational window that you had with your fans.

my question is, how can you state that you dont like something whilst using it to its full extend?
you dont check your inbox, ok thats your right, the reason behind that is what i find stupid.

Besides that in your inbox there arent any adds, they are just fan mail, which i presume(i have really no idea whats in there) there are mails ranging from OMG!YOU ARE AMAZING!ILL BUILD YOU A STATUE AND SACRIFICE MY FAMILY WHILE I DANCE IN FLAMES! to thanx for being there with your music.

But as i said its your right and its completely respectable but i can still find it somewhat hypocritical when i add the other thing to it.

You were against the fingertips thing that usa had, which if im not mistaken hasnt changed.

Yeah the president changed, different color and so far done good stuff, but if im not mistaken the reasons that stopped you from touring usa havent disappeared, from my point of view they remain more or less the same.

So, i dont know what and if something happened to the daniel "i know" i might be saying a load of crap here and if thats the case i do apologise but since you are in a high place in my "when i grow up i wanna be like him" list, i wanted to be honest and state my thoughts instead of the "you are amazing man".

sorry for the length of this reply :/
