due to a long time back injury, shawn (aka piklz) can no longer continue to do vocals. his back needs surgery and with no insurance and surgery costing a ton, it's probably not gonna happen (at least not anytime soon)...
this is a huge blow to our band since we feel piklz is irreplaceable on vocals and it's so much fun being in a band with him...so talented and versatile, to put it bluntly...this really sucks. we still consider him a member of this band and always will.
being the trooper that he is, he did finish up the vocals for the album thru alot of pain and adversity...and they sound fukn great! we got our last recording session tomorrow and then it's on to mixing.
if this is shawn's last hurrah (musically) then a helluva hurrah it is.
we will be going to a single guitar lineup now. olson will handle the guitar duties and i will move to vocals. again, major bummer not playing guitar but we feel that this is what's best for the band, at least for right now.
we've had a few jam sessions and things are coming along. to my knowledge, we do not have any shows planned until blakefest, so we'll be bustin' our ass gettin' the set ready for you all by then...hopefully we won't let any of you down.
