Hello, Faithful Readers!

Just wanted to give you a bit of an update as to our new project, "Sealed Fates."

Despite some minor bumps in the road, things are progressing very well. I'm pleased with the overall performances of the cast, and things are beginning to gel with the new Timewarp production crew. When I initially went into this project, I thought that by shooting an anthology type piece would be "easier," because you are shooting three short stories...not one feature length film. Now being in the middle of the shoot, I can tell you that's not quite the case. In fact, it's been some of the most difficult scheduling I have encountered. Your not working with one cast...you're working with THREE casts. Looking back on this shoot, makes me realize that everytime you think things are going to go a certain way, they suddenly make a right-turn and go off in a direction you never thought of.

As far as personnel changes, there has been only one -- so far. It's not important whether it be cast or crew...it just didn't work out. Things happen for a reason. I cannot wait for the project to be done, however, so that I can show the world how hard my crew worked, and how talented they truly are. If you are a director of a film, you need to remember this golden rule.

If people love the film, divert the praise to your crew. If people don't like the film, accept the responsibility or blame, and shield your crew.

Being on set is both an exciting and frustrating feeling. There is sometimes unnecessary drama, which we all must deal with, and sometimes there are personality conflicts. As a director, you must be able to deal with these situations, and handle them.

I will be handling more situations in the future, I assure you.

As we slowly work to wrapping "Sealed Fates," it will be my honor each week to blog about my fantastic crew individually, and give you a little more insight about what they do, and how they function on the set. I'll go in alphabetical order, (Sorry, Zig...), and let you peek into the realm of responsibility for each person.

Next blog  - We introduce Stunt Coordinator J. P. Barry.

I'm all NEW to the world of JON RIPPLE and the late DON DOHLER, but I can tell you one thing. I've been inspired greatly by watching the documentary, "Blood, Beast & Boob" can't remember if it was in that order. However, it was the BEST documentary I've ever seen that mirrored everything I've gone through and still going through. Thanks for doing what you do and inspiring filmmakers like myself.
