I have been recently following the blog of a very sick six year old girl. I received the invitation to he carepages website from my daughter's Girl Scout troop leader. I have been following the blog not because I know the girl, but because I identify with what the family has been going through. Abbie suffered from a common cold, but the cold turned into something far more serious, creating an infection in her heart, which caused her heart to fail. Her family for the past few weeks have been in the St. Louis Children's Hospital waiting for a heart transplant and hoping. On Saturday, March 28, 2009 Abbie died. I want to send my thoughts and love to the family. I understand, to some extent, the grief that fills your heart. I also wanted to say how thankful I am for the three beautiful children that make my life so much brighter. That I'm thankful for my family and friends. Jim, Sarah, my children, my friends. I love you all very much. I thank you for the time you have given me and the time I hope we will continue to have together. Whatever happens, I love you all.
