Emo is just a stupid ridiculous trend. Emo DID NOT evolve or is even close enough to Punk. Punk started out as a form of rebellion which did not mean slitting wrists as a form of attention. Real punks do not cry or get depressed for stupid reasons, or anything for that matter. Punks live their life to it's fullest without a single slit on their wrists or tears on their cheeks. Punk is not or has ever been revolved around self pity, but Anarchy, self liberation, and definetly anti-emotionalAll you emos are alike. You all need to stop feeling sorry for yourselves and suck it up. Remember that someone out there always has it worse than you do, but the funny thing is that nearly all you emo kids are priveleged so you really have nothing to bitch about. If you hate your life that much that you actually cry often and mutilate yourself, then do us all and yourself a favor and just kill yourself already instead of just saying itWeaklings aren't needed in this world, and we could all definetly do without you. Your slit wrists and inane poems are about as pointless as your existence.

I hope you all choke on your tears.

Dude...how old are you? You're sorely misinformed. Emo, originally, was one form of posthardcore in the mid 80s with a heavier emphasis on introspective struggles and a sense of dissent with the naivete of the original hardcore movement (and less importantly, the straight edge movement). "Emo" as it's called today is just an amalgam of pop rock with a few conceptual touches taken from the screamo movement, specifically from Orchid and Saetia (who are way more abrasive than mostly everything calling itself Emo at the moment). It has little in common with actual Emo or Screamo.

And additionally, if you think punk is "incomparable" because it doesn't have its moments of overdone ethos...dude, try listening to those laughable Amebix songs where The Baron tries to actually sing.

Misinformed? Yeah buddy, I'm not the one calling females "dudes." If anything, you seem to be far more mistaken than I am, if you catch my drift.

You only beat me by 7 years so don’t feel intellectually superior, age means nothing. I believe you're confused with “Goth,” which began sometime in the 80's. The people I'm referring to are all these ridiculous “emo” trendy kids who ACT sad, cut themselves to look complex, and write wannabe-Byzantine, nonsensical poetry (unfortunately, I know so many emos that I didn‘t exaggerate what I just wrote). These people--and their equally shitty music, make me sick, as well as anyone (emo-trendy or not) who shows weakness constantly.
