This is a delightful short-film/commercial advertisement that Scorsese shot for Freixenet. Every year on Christmas day, the famous Catalan brand of spirituous beverages broadcasts an advertising spot on Spanish television.

In "The Key to Reserva": Scorsese films a "lost" Hitchcock script.

Based on a three-page script by Alfred himself, Martin Scorsese puts his talent to the test and presents one of the most beautiful spots of the year. Moviegoers will appreciate the numerous quotations. A little anecdote: they only had to comply with one condition stipulated by the brand — the bottle and the name of Reserva had to appear on the screen. Enjoy!

Martin Scorsese as HITCHCOCK. Why not Desire Hayden-Turner as DELORES? Why am I not allowed to be in school so soon after my mom's death and Michelle Williams is allowed to do Aschliffe the same year as Heath's death?

Dear Martin, ............I do not know if you are the real Martin but MY Mama sent her book to your New York office and your staff returned it and I called them and they said they would call me back and never did, it was merely a gift to you from an 81 year old woman and the response from your staff hurt as they talked about legalities, the book is inscribed to you and you should have it ............http://www.amazon.com/%2522Hell-Everyday-Life-%2522-Solidly-Dignity-%2522/dp/0615121802/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1232285810&sr=1-1

Wow...a man of words (myself) reduced to only that response. Wow.<br /><br />I studied both directors' bodies of works (intensely) under the auteur theory in undergrad--one whole semester devoted to each. There is no doubt that Mr scorsese achieved his goal in reproducing those few pages of script into something that Hitchcock would've gladly let his name be affiliated with. As the snippet says: Scorsese was trying to preserve a film that hadn't been made yet! So he goes ahead and makes it, AS Hitchcock, per se, and hits the nail right on the head.<br /><br />There is no one I would rather have take the responsibility of preserving the history of film than Martin Scorsese. For qualifiactions, please refer to this clip.
