You know Karolina, I haven't watched television lately or surfed the web much and I had kind of forgotten about you.
Ironically enough, yesterday I watched that runway walk you did in 2003 at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, the one in your photo with the green suede boots and pink lace lingerie. It was the 4th segment or part of the show, and you opened up the segment and came out first to a song by Francis Lai called "Bilitis".
In the t.v. version of your walk they show you from behind walking toward these spotlights that are crisscrossing the ceiling of the tent, then the camera pans back to you, and at that point it's becoming epic. The direction of those shots was so dramatic that I probably watched that walk 10 times because it was that stunning.
I remember when I first saw it in 2003 I had recorded it, and watched it again, and I think you ruined me for all other women, for the rest of my life. I have not recovered from seeing that walk, and oddly enough I haven't seen anything like that since.
At that point in your life you weren't as famous, and I don't think you had been on all the talk shows yet, which was cool because on the runway you seemed so fearless and young and care free and just innocent, but God you were exquisite. I hate to say 'beautiful' because that word is worn out, but how lovely and beautiful that moment was.
I understand it's your job, and you are paid to do that, and you were working, but that moment seemed like you were the gravity of the planet. It was just a random moment of television, but it still is an incandescent few seconds of life that you'll never give back to me because you stole me completely and haven't let me move on.
Before you got to the end of the runway and spun around and smiled your eyes were so sensual and serious that your smile was a surprise, and was like finding some secret place in the woods. It felt so warm and alive and safe,

I think I talk way too much, I'm sorry about that. For a straight guy it's probably strange I watched that segment so many times, but you cannot know how surreal you are. Of the billions of people who God has created, he made only one person with your eyes, that long profile, those lips, that soft chin, and that smile, and your laugh. It is such a rare flower that it has blossomed but one time in history, and in my lifetime I have seen it. Not only that you're a funny person and are kind and brilliant. In interviews you're sharp and very competent. If there were such a thing as angels, they would be jealous of you.
I should go now. Sorry all of this was so long and strange. It's your fault you are the spell that you are because these are my words under it. If it made you smile at all it is worth it. How unfortunate it would be to even think for a second that you're not smiling, that I cannot bear the thought. If you should laugh, that is just as well. Take my silly words for what they are worth, and if you must forget them go ahead, but know that there isn't anything in this world I'd rather say to anyone, knowing u could read this. Because there can never be anything comparable to you, and the design by which you come together to be you. Whatever the magic or alchemy, you must know it's there.
