Way back in the Lower Middle Mesozoic Era, there was a game for the Nintendo Entertainment System called
Duck Hunt. Simple game, really -- ducks flew out of the bushes, you shot at 'em. However, it had two innovations which made it very memorable indeed. First, the controller: rather than use the primitive game pad, it had a "light gun" that allowed you to actually aim a (toy plastic) gun at the ducks. This... was beyond cool.
Second, you were hunting, right? So you had a hunting dog on screen. Thing is, this dog served no actual in-game purpose... except to
laugh at you when you didn't shoot ducks up to its lofty standards. Which usually resulted in you trying to shoot the damn dog.
Which led to today's song, "Why Can't I Shoot The Dog?" by Sudden Death, featuring The Gothsicles.
No, really.
This song is from the new Sudden Death album
Fatal Error, which is now available in the FuMP Store!
