Heads up! Various and sundry Big Announcements from
The Funny Music Project!
First thing, sorry the MySPace page hasn’t been updated in the past week. With all the stuff I’m doing, and with hotel internet "connections" being what they are when I’m on the road, sometimes it just falls to the wayside. But, as of this morning I’ve put up the excellent
FeedPlayer for both the regular FuMP feed and the Sideshow, so you’ll always be able to get the latest tunes. And you can of course still download ’em, at
TheFuMP.com.
(We’re going to put some of our absolute classics up here in the regular MySpace player, so you can always get ’em. That should be in the next day or two; I’ll let you know.)
Second, please welcome the wonderful
Carla Ulbrich to The FuMP! One of the funniest ladies in folk music, Carla is a great performer, a silly-ass (indeed, sometimes missing-ass) songwriter, and just a joy. And her first song fits right in around here -- "National A**hole Directory". Again, one of those ditties which contains words which parents inexplicably think their kids have never ever heard before.
Third, there’s gonna be a whole lot o’ FuMPin’ going on March 28-30 at
MidSouthCon in Memphis, TN. I was Guest Of Honor there a couple of years ago and had a great time, so I can recommend the con wholeheartedly on general principles. Now kick in authors Eric Flint and Ben Bova, artist Bob Eggleton, comics writer Len Wein (creator of
Swamp Thing), and a whole bunch of other great creators. And then add The FuMP! It’s gonna be a fantastic weekend, and if you’re anywhere nearby you should get the heck over there.
I’ll have more news and a revised schedule up soon. Meantime, keep checking back, and subscribe to the RSS feeds to get the latest FuMP songs delivered right to your desktop!
