A friend of Christina's, Heather Noel, wrote this and I would like to share it here. It describes her so perfectly and proves why she was loved and admired by so many. I hope that it will allow you to be touched by her in some way as even if it were just a fraction of how much she touched us, it would be worth it's weight in gold.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Christina Gordon  -  Rest in Peace
It's redundant and not your style to say it , with our heads hanging low, our frowns affixed and our eyes teary, to say that we will miss you.
You would point out, with a knowing.... polite, but stern whisper, that our mascara is dripping down to our knee socks..and that frowning causes wrinkles…
But we will have to say it, because it's most certainly true.
"Continental Christina"….WE WILL MISS YOU
Producer, Writer, Script Supervisor, self proclaimed "foody"…this girl lived a rich life…. She showed us all how to properly globetrott with flair.
She had lived all over the world and had plenty of stories, anecdotes, and lessons learned to show for it.
She made a gathering of just a few friends into a cultural party. She shared freely her knowledge and drew from her vast personal experience on every topic you can imagine. "oh I TOTALLY KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN! Yeah, one time Jones and I had to land a prop plane in a tornado over Fiji…….Oh, that one time I was sky diving over South Africa, I used that magenta windbreaker you gave me"
She would give her advice and share her adventurous stories with a sassy smile…and coyly inform the waiter, that there was no way in hell .she would dream of drinking tap water…She even smelled exotic…She would show up at our apartment in a cloud of avant-garde perfume from some wild country. Her signature flaxen spiral curls were animated by her natural exuberance for life.
She was a pristine adapter. She could instantly be comfortable in any social situation…Find common ground for conversation whether it be at a movie opening where we are sneaking out of the theatre because it is such a horrible film and run smack into the producer, director, and writer (who we all know) in the lobby and Christina managed to charm their pants off with "Producer-speak" long enough to allow us to sheepishly, but gracefully bow out….
 ...or tibble champagne at one of our "Girls Nights" while the rest of us are acting spastic and unruly, she would cross her legs, and toast our antics, saying "you go girl, those undies need to breathe!".
Christina was well read and well traveled and positively reeked with sophistication. She exemplified the term "Cosmopolitan" with her intricate worldly and discerning pallet.
She also defined the phrase "Loyal Friend". For as Heidi put it, "She was a constant ROCK that anchored us all" . She went where she was invited, and that, my friends, is a true gift. . Heidi and I were just saying, that Christina ALWAYS came, Whatever the engagement, the party, the get-together, on any scale, she always turned up.
She welcomed new, sometimes uncomfortable situations, and relished meeting new people. That eagerness, willingness, and openness in a friend is very rare, because most people want to stay locked in their comfort zones, where it is safe, predictable, and controllable. Christina was brave.
She had an infectious laugh. It started deep and gutteral, from within her spirit. As her friends, we gave her plenty to laugh about, with our comedic/tragic love lives, work stories, show business gossip, and personal obstacles. She was intentional and direct with her advice, but at the same time, implementing a very "Oh, lighten the eff up"attitude that we all savored.
One thing that is typical" Christina" was her extraordinary variety of friends. One of the first times I hung out with her, Heidi brought me to her birthday party. Most would hesitate at attending a birthday party, if you don't know someone that well, but she welcomed me with open arms. I instantly noticed her guests were all types of people. Whether they were travel partners , movie people, or co-writer /producers they were of all ages, ethnicities, backgrounds, and styles. She was a true Connoisseur of all people and accepted them, come as they are, the more flavored, the better.
Now, our fearless traveler is off for a new destination. She has embarked on a new trip, leaving us waving at the gate.
It is with great shock and sadness that I write this. We will miss our friend so much., and are so very thankful to have had the time that was given.
I can hear her laugh right now, saying "Oh stop with the Sob story, really dahhling, that is so passé…there there….Now where are our drinks?"
You were exquisite.
Debra,
That is beautifully laid out. I know Heather wrote the letter but I'm not sure of her last name. You did a great job of placing photos and generally capturing the beauty of Christina. She's not likely to be forgotten in any of our life times. Exquisite is the perfect description of our friend.
Hugs,
Linda
